Netflix recently unveiled the official poster and teaser for When Life Gives You Tangerines, starring IU and Park Bo-gum. The drama is set to release on the streaming platform on March 7, 2025, wherein IU plays the character of Ae-sun and Bo-gum portrays Gwan-sik in the 1950s. When Life Gives You Tangerines follows Ae-sun, a rebellious young girl who dreams of becoming a poet one day. She is not quite well-off and cannot attend school, but that does not dim her positivity and boisterous personality.
Then we have Gwan-sik, a shy and silent boy who is at a loss for words around Ae-sun. He does not know how to express his affection but has diligently loved her since the beginning.
Lim Sang-choon, who wrote When the Camellia Blooms, and Kim Won-seok, who directed My Mister, have joined hands for this upcoming drama. When Life Gives You Tangerines will run for 16 episodes of about seventy minutes each.
