"Glad they have each other in the military"- Fans react to BTS' Jungkook and Jimin's enlistment talk in the latest Are You Sure?! episode

BTS members Jimin and Jungkook had a heartwarming conversation on the latest episode of their travel show Are You Sure?!, on August 29, 2024. They discussed their then-upcoming military service in what fans stated was a heartwarming and funny conversation.

The conversation between the two bandmates was recorded before they enlisted in the South Korean military. Jimin and Jungkook spoke about how they would be in the military together as they were enlisting in the same division. The two K-pop idols enlisted in the military in December 2023 and will be released in June 2025.

During the episode, they joked about their soon-to-be shaved heads and imagined what it would be like to sleep next to each other in the barracks. Fans who saw the episode of Are You Sure?! found the moment precious and were grateful that it was captured on camera.

Jungkook and Jimin's fun pre-military talk revealed in Are You Sure?!

The fourth episode of Are You Sure?! released on August 29, 2024, marking Taehyung's final appearance with Jimin and Jungkook. During one scene, the three members shared a meal and discussed how they only had two months left before their enlistment. Jimin and Jungkook knew that they would be in the same division and began to playfully tease each other about their future military lives.

Jimin kicked off the conversation, stating that he had heard stories about military life from the older BTS members who had already enlisted. Jungkook chimed in, recalling how Jin told him that even long-time friends ended up arguing while serving together.

Jimin assured Jungkook that he wasn’t worried about them fighting and that they would support each other during their service, which Jungkook agreed with.

The teasing continued as Jungkook joked about how thrilled he would be to wake up next to the older member with his bald head. This led the two bandmates to imitate how they would wake up in the morning and shared a laugh about it. Jungkook then imagined them sleeping face-to-face, to which Jimin replied that he wouldn't because Jungkook would likely elbow him in his sleep.

JM: "Me too. But I’m not going to sleep next to you because you’ll elbow me again."

Jimin and Jungkook enlisted together on December 12, 2023, and photos of the two members with their shaved heads went viral on social media. Other band members also shared pictures of Jimin and Jungkook admiring each other's shaved heads, which fans thought were adorable.

The band members are now nine months into their service, and since fans haven't seen them live for a while, the moments on their show are comforting to them. They serve as a reminder that regardless of where the band members are, their bond will be as strong as ever.
