BTS' Jungkook's Seven (ft. Latto) becomes the third fastest song globally to reach 1.8 billion streams on Spotify
The Golden Maknae of BTS has become the first Asian artist to earn this feat, and his track Seven (featuring American rapper Latto) is now the third fastest song globally to reach 1.8 billion streams on Spotify.
The top three fastest songs to hit 1.8 billion streams on the platform are:
- As It Was by Harry Styles — 288 days
- Stay by The Kid LAROI and Justin Bieber — 314 days
- Seven — 389 days
In terms of Asian artists, Seven has surpassed BTS' popular track Dynamite, which touched 1.8 billion streams mark in 1,266 days. Additionally, Seven has outpaced Olivia Rodrigo's drivers license as the fastest debut single to achieve this milestone.
The music video for the track has also exceeded an impressive 419 million views as of the time of writing this article. The video features well-known South Korean actress Han So-hee alongside the Euphoria singer.
The track had previously set numerous records, such as becoming the only song by a Korean or K-pop solo artist to top the Billboard Global 200 and Billboard Global (Excl. US) charts for multiple weeks simultaneously. Recently, Jimin, a fellow BTS member, matched this accomplishment with his new release, Who.
Moreover, the Still With You artist had also made history as the first Korean solo artist to rank three Top 10 hits on the UK chart with his singles Seven, 3D (featuring Jack Harlow), and TOO MUCH (with The Kid LAROI and Central Cee).
In December 2023, Jungkook began his military service with Jimin at the Army 5th Infantry Division Recruit Training Center in Yeoncheon, Gyeonggi-do. He is expected to return to the spotlight with his group in June 2025.
