On August 26, the South Korean media outlet ETNEWS reported that Go Soo, Kwon Yu-ri, Baek Ji-won, and Lee Hak-joo have been confirmed for an action-thriller drama, Parole Officer, Lee Han Shin.
The upcoming series chronicles the story of a lawyer who changes his profession to a parole officer to avenge someone. Subsequently, he becomes the final judge who decides whether the prisoners would be freed or not.
The series is helmed by the director Yoon Sang-ho, known for shows including River Where the Moon Rises and Curtain Call. The script is penned by screenwriter Park Chi-hyung.

According to the outlet ETNEWS, actor Go Soo will essay the role of the show's protagonist named Lee Han Shin. Being a lawyer by profession, he decides to change his job to become a parole officer due to a personal conflict.
Later, he takes justice into his own hands, creating multiple ways to fight against inmates who once tried to disregard or punish the parole system with their money and power in the series, Parole Officer, Lee Han Shin.
Actor Go Soo has been famous for his previous works, including Missing: The Other Side, Missing: The Other Side season 2, Money Game. He is reportedly confirmed to feature in the upcoming series Reverse.
Meanwhile, Girls Generations' Kwon Yu-ri will take on the role of an excellent detective, Ahn Seo-yoon. She is considered one of the best detectives and investigators in the Violent Crimes Investigation unit. The ardent passionate detective is known for being extremely responsible.
The South Korean singer, actress, and songwriter Kwon Yu-ri has gained popularity for shows, including Bossam: Steal the Fate, Breakup Probation, A Week, Local Hero. She recently made a guest appearance in the smash hit time-travel series titled Lovely Runner.
Actress Baek Ji-won will portray Choi Hwa-ran in Parole Officer, Lee Han Shin. Her character is one of the famous figures in the private loan industry. She will work closely with the main character (Lee Han Shin) in solving the latter's conflict.
Baek Ji-won has appeared in numerous series, including Once Again, Encounter, Goodbye Earth, and The Deal. She is reported to star in the forthcoming series, including When Life Gives You Tangerines and Extraordinary Attorney Woo season 2.
Lastly, Lee Hak-joo will play the character of a second-generation conglomerate, Ji Myung-seob. Hailing from a wealthy background, Hak-joo does not possess an ounce of sympathy for anyone and remains unfazed by his surroundings in the series, Parole Officer, Lee Han Shin. Hak-joo has previously appeared in shows such as My Dearest, Shadow Detective seasons 1 and 2, and more.
Featuring twelve episodes, Parole Officer, Lee Han Shin is slated to premiere on October 2024 on tvN. It has been incorporated into the network's Monday and Tuesday timeslot.
