On September 17, 2024, episode 6 of Run Jin was released, featuring BTS' Seokjin and his longtime celebrity friend Lee Yi-kyung. In this episode, the two friends took on the challenge of playing tennis, showing off their playful antics and strong chemistry.

Their light-hearted competition took a hilarious turn when two young professional tennis players joined them for a match. Jin’s competitive spirit quickly surfaced. True to his nature, he fully immersed himself in the game, even bringing his military persona into play.

At one point, he humorously tried to discipline the kids by shouting "Attention!" a command he had grown accustomed to during his military service as an assistant drill instructor. Lee Yi-kyung, amused by Jin’s sudden shift in demeanor, quickly intervened, asking what he was doing.

The BTS member apologized and laughed it off, explaining that the habit still lingered from his time in the military. The interaction left viewers in stitches who made comments on social media. One fan on X said,

"Gosh I laughed so hard. I guess he will always be Sergeant Kim Seokjin"
"It aint run jin without seokjin beefing with kids," another fan said.
"My favourite episode so far. I can't wait for him to use this on the rest of bts," a fan expressed.

BTS Seokjin played tennis with children in the recent episode of Run Jin

BTS' Kim Seokjin and Marry My Husband star Lee Yi-kyung teamed up for a comical episode of Run Jin, Seokjin’s variety show. From the start, the episode was filled with laughter, as Jin appeared genuinely surprised by his guest. The two stars, who had known each other since they attended the same acting class, immediately showcased their chemistry.

The episode revolved around a tennis challenge, a nod to Jin’s well-known love for tennis, which he had been practicing before enlisting in the military. Fans appreciated the thoughtfulness of the show’s producers in designing an episode centered around the sport.

To add an extra layer of fun, two young professional tennis players—12-year-old Lee Jun and 11-year-old Hong Jeong-yeon—were invited to join the game. The playful banter between Seokjin, Yi-kyung, and the two young tennis players had fans in stitches.

Jin’s competitive nature quickly took over, leading to some amusing exchanges. At one point, the BTS idol, perhaps unconsciously slipping into his military habits, commanded the children with a firm "Attention!" instead of a simple greeting. Following this, Yi-kyung asked him what he was doing, to which the BTS idol said,

"I used to be an assistant drill instructor. I got confused for a moment."

The entire crew, kids, and the duo burst into laughter at the unexpected yet hilarious military moment. The competition heated up, with Jin and Yi-kyung celebrating their small victories with childlike enthusiasm.

As the episode came to a close, they all enjoyed a meal together, capping off the light-hearted event. Another highlight was when Jin asked the kids who their favorite BTS member was, to which both of them responded with "Jungkook."

Jin’s exaggeratedly disappointed reaction drew more laughs, as he had been hoping for his name. Fans hailed this episode as one of the best Run Jin installments yet.

Run Jin airs every Tuesday at 9 pm KST on the BANGTANTV YouTube channel.
