On January 14, 2025, the South Korean media outlet Sports Chosun reported that Ha Jung-woo and Krystal Jung will lead the forthcoming thriller drama The Landlord as the protagonists.

In response, the former actor's agency, Walkhouse Company, stated to the outlet Star News on the same day that it was confirmed that Ha Jung-woo would join the cast line-up. Meanwhile, Krystal Jung's agency, Beasts and Natives Alike (BANA), responded that they would update her casting news after some time and confirm it.

The upcoming drama The Landlord is known by multiple names, including Geonmulju, Daehanmingukeseo Geonmulju Doeneunbeop, and others. It will be helmed by the director, Im Pil-sung. He is known for projects such as Bastard, Departure, Sun, Scarlet Innocence, Persona, and more.

Ha Jung-woo will portray the role of Ki Soo-jong in the upcoming thriller drama, The Landlord. Ki Soo-jong was under heavy debt as a landlord. He has been described as a responsible person who has a sense of responsibility. Being a family-oriented person, his circumstances compelled him to join a kidnapping scheme. The latest act served as a pivotal point in his life.

Subsequently, The Landlord would follow the story story of a landlord being trapped in an endless cycle of debt. He was the only person living in his building with his family. He chooses the dangerous path to safeguard his family and building. Meanwhile, no update regarding the character of Krystal Jung has been revealed by the media outlets yet.

Ha Jung-woo is also known as Kim Sung-hoon. He made his official debut as an actor with the 2002 SBS sitcom Honest Living. Subsequently, he made his feature film debut in 2003 with Madeleine. The male artist achieved his breakthrough with the film The Chaser in 2008. He took the role of a psychopathic character inspired by serial killer Yoo Young-chul.

Ha Jung-woo went on to make his directorial debut with Rollercoaster in 2013. The project was released internationally under the name Fasten Your Seatbelt. It was screened at the 18th Busan International Film Festival. The actor is known for other projects, including Rebound, Hijack 1971, Age of Warriors, Lovers in Prague, Entourage, and others.


The actor was recently featured in the Netflix series Narco-Saints. It was premiered in 2022. Meanwhile, Krystal Jung was confirmed to appear in the upcoming film Audition 109 alongside Jung Woo.
