On Friday, October 4, South Korean singer Ha Sung-woon's agency, Big Planet, responded to the recent plagiarism accusations raised by Yerin Baek. On October 3, Yerin Baek took to her Instagram stories to express that her 2019 song, 0301 from the album, Every Letter I Sent You, had been plagiarized for the Love Next Door OST, What Are We.
This OST was sung by Ha Sung-woon, and therefore, Yerin Baek accused the singer of plagiarizing her song. Big Planet quickly responded to the accusations, clarifying that the singer was not involved in the composition, production, lyrics, or arrangement of the track—he only sang the song.
Therefore, though they seemingly acknowledged the possible plagiarism that might've taken place during the creation of the Love Next Door OST, What Are We, their artist, Ha Sung-woon is neither responsible nor a participant in the same. Here's a part of the statement the agency, Big Planet released in response to Yerin Baek's accusations:
"We would like to reiterate that Ha Sungwoon had nothing to do with the plagiarism, and we hope that Yerin Baek and the OST production company can resolve the matter amicably."
