On September 1, 2024, BTS' youngest member, Jeon Jungkook, turned 27 and his fans flooded social media by trending several hashtags and phrases. The Standing Next To You singer is currently serving his mandatory enlistment in the Republic of Korea Army (R.O.K.A.) since December 12, 2023.
Fans noted that this is the first time the idol wasn't able to host a live stream on Weverse on the occasion of his birthday. The BTS ARMY trended "HAPPY BIRTHDAY MY LOVE," "Happy Birthday Jungkookie," and "Golden Maknae" on social media platforms, showering the idol with celebratory messages. One fan wrote on X (formerly Twitter):

BIGHIT MUSIC releases unseen pictures from 'GOLDEN' promotions on BTS' Jungkook's 27th birthday
BIGHIT MUSIC (now HYBE Labels) dropped new pictures from behind the scenes of Jungkook's GOLDEN promotions. The album marked the debut solo release of the BTS singer on November 3, 2023, with the title track, Standing Next To You.
The album also includes SEVEN (feat. Latto) which clinched No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 for seven straight weeks, making him the first K-pop solo act to do so. SEVEN (feat. Latto) is a pre-release single which was officially released on July 14, 2023.
It was followed by the release of 3D (feat. Jack Harlow), another pre-release track from GOLDEN, released on September 29. It topped the Billboard Global 200.
The latest images are stills from the Standing Next To You MV shoot, his AUDACY performance on the same title track, and on Closer To You. The compilation also includes his selfies and stills from his appearance in The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
Jeon Jungkook of BTS will return from his military service in June 2025 and resume group activities. Currently, his pre-filmed reality travel show with bandmate Jimin, Are You Sure?!, is available on Disney+ for global streaming.
