On Tuesday, January 7, the latest episode of RUN JIN featuring BTS' j-hope was released. The episode is a continuation of the previous week's release, where the two K-pop idols, Jin and j-hope embarked on a treasure hunt at an abandoned hospital filled with zombie actors.
Most of the episode showcased the two finishing their tasks while overcoming the jump scares and attacks from the zombie actors. However, towards the end of the episode, j-hope and the viewers were hit with a surprise. As they successfully made it out of the abandoned hospital, the staff members brought in the party hats and a cake for j-hope.
The celebrations were to congratulate the idol's recent discharge from the military, and he was naturally heartened by the same. Though the two BTS members were excited about the party, they were also exhausted after the treasure hunt, making the ending all the more hilarious for the viewers.
Regardless, fans felt that it was a wholesome and great gesture from BTS' Jin as a way to welcome him back from his military service.
"It's happy ending after all the misery."
"hobi's abt to fight for his life again until he realized what's going on," said a fan on X.
"AFTER EVERYTHING THEY WENT THROUGH THEN A GROUP OF ZOMBIES CAME TO GIVE CAKE & CELEBRATE HOBI'S DISCHARGE," added another fan.
"them having the most unserious zombie themed party and then biting each other … OOH WE’RE SO BACK," commented a netizen.
More fans and netizens talked about the ending of the RUN JIN episode being both emotional and hilarious at the same time.
"Wild atmosphere for a discharge party but super sweet," stated a fan.
"I'm sorry but I don't know what's in me I'm half crying half laughing seeing this in the end," added an X user.
