On Friday, August 16, 2024, Harper's Bazaar offered a preview from its forthcoming September issue with BTS' Jin gracing three covers. The magazine rolled out new pictures of the idol on their official social media handles, decked up in Gucci's lavish attire for the cover story. The pictorial for the latest edition will feature exclusive interviews and photoshoots of Jin, raising anticipation.

Sharing some words of the BTS vocalist, the preview's caption revealed his urge to step back into the industry and work, even while he was serving in the military. It further revealed his excitement in being finally able to do so,

"I'm really happy these days. I really wanted to work while I was in the military, and now that I've been discharged, I'm busy working every day. I'm smiling because I'm happy just to be working at this very moment."

It went on,

"I want to go on working in the future, and through that, I want to bring happiness to ARMY. How great is the happiness if someone becomes happy because of me!"

Meanwhile, the pre-released snippets from the pictorial are taking the internet by storm. ARMYs (BTS fans) are flooding socials with their appreciation for the collaboration and Jin's looks in the new photos. One fan stated,

"#JIN is working so hard, he is like a REAL MODEL."

Further comments prove that fans are all praises for the upcoming edition featuring Kim Seok-jin, aka BTS' Jin.

"PERFECTION," stated a netizen.
"I. Am. Not. Ok," a fan stated.
"KIM SEOKJIN, THE MAN YOU ARE," another comment said.

Other comments claimed the 31-year-old is the "perfect ambassador" for Gucci.

"KIM SEOKJIN PERFECT AMBASSADOR OF GUCCI," claimed another post.
"Seokjin's innate elegance & beauty fits so well with Gucci's style. Both make a perfect match. Looking forward to see more pics," an ARMY wrote.
"THE BEST KIM SEOKJIN PHOTOSHOOT TO DATE," commented an X-user.

BTS' Jin's cover story with Harper's Bazaar Korea x Gucci

BTS' Jin, who was named the new Global Brand Ambassador for Gucci on August 7 this year, seemingly opens his heart out in this issue's 34-page coverage on him.

Embodying the brand's spirit, the idol was previously praised by Gucci's Creative Director Sabato De Sarno for possessing a "distinctive style" and "engaging personality" suited to the label in Vogue Korea's story on the ambassadorship announcement. For the September edition photoshoots, Jin is donning Gucci's Men's New Fall/Winter 2024 Collection by the brand's Creative Director himself.

The looks for the newest pictures dropped by Harper's Bazaar were styled by Kim Young-jin, who also curated the artist's looks during his W Korea x FRED project. Popular Korean fashion photographer Mok Jung-wook, responsible for BTS' RM's DAZED Korea pictorial and Indigo album photoshoot, was credited for Jin's latest exclusive.

Harper's Bazaar first hinted at the forthcoming team-up with the Tonight singer on August 9, when they posted a cropped picture of Jin asking, "Guess who?" The magazine further wrote that the BTS member's new beginning starts with the September issue of Harper's Bazaar Korea. Fans were already convinced by the full-face obscuring image that it was BTS' Jin.

Further teaser pictures were released, asking the same question while also describing the idol as one having "positive waves and energy." The caption further titled the images as "HEARTFELT, HEARTBEAT."

On August 13, when they finally revealed the face of the September issue as the K-pop phenomenon, they further asked fans to choose whichever cover they liked most out of the three, as the one with the most selections would be introduced as the representative image on Bazaar's various channels.

The voting period for the same commenced on Thursday, August 15, with cover #1 starring the idol with the Gibson 80s Flying V electric guitar winning the poll. The cover was titled "#Rock Jin's new look," additionally teasing the September issue, where Jin talks about "happiness" through his solo song work, telling his story, and as a global ambassador for Gucci.

It further asked fans to look forward to an additional "inside cover."

The pre-order for the three covers went live on August 13 on Weverse Shop, while the latest edition is slated to release on September 5. Another caption on the magazine's socials provides a glimpse of the interview,

"With his long fingers, he forms a ‘V’ and smiles like a boy, but as soon as the shoot begins in earnest, his face goes back to that of a sophisticated man. Between playfulness and seriousness. I once believed that Jin’s true self lay somewhere in between. That thought was wrong. Both were Jin." (From Jin’s interview)

Harper's Bazaar's August 14 article on the upcoming release described the edition's theme as follows,

"In particular, the concept of a musical medium containing pop, rock, and soul that highlights the artist's side, combined with a 'dandy' and 's*xy' style that he has not tried before, attracting attention."

Further quoting Jin from an interview that followed, Bazaar wrote,

"I was worried because it was a different kind of shoot than usual, but after finishing the shoot like this, I feel good because I think I had good synergy with Gucci. The staff and the atmosphere on set were great, so it was even more fun."

What's more, BTS' eldest even spoke a little about his future activities and songs,

"Without giving away any spoilers… I think it’ll be fun to perform. It’s different for each song, so I can’t say for sure, but if I were to compare it to the flavor of ‘ice cream,’ there’s soda, popping candy, and dark chocolate. I hope you look forward to it."

As ARMYs await the 34-page comprehensive inside look at BTS' Jin's plans and artistic thoughts, the never-tried-before alluring rock concept is making waves already.

In other news, fans are also eagerly awaiting the second episode of Run Jin on BANGTANTV (YouTube), coming out on Tuesday, August 20. The pilot episode went viral as Jin hiked a trail up to the summit of Mt. Hallasan in Jeju Island, completing several missions and having fun along the way.
