On January 17, 2025, BTS' RM shared a long text on his Instagram story, which was an op-ed (opposite to editorial) article from the news publication Joong Ang. The post shared by Namjoon was written by Heo Ji-won, Professor of Psychology. The piece mostly discussed how happiness is not a normal brain-derived emotion.

As per the piece, happiness has to be learned and cultivated. It highlighted the need to learn to appreciate every moment of one's daily existence.

BTS' RM’ fans were impressed and emotionally touched by the post he shared. As a result, his fans flooded the internet with their appreciation for the idol. One user on X wrote:

“Oh wow thank you for sharing! Namjoon always give us strenght and love to continue,he just knows what we need.”

Many other reactions from Namjoon’s fans were seen online. While many thanked BTS' RM for sharing the post, others said the post resonated with them.

“Trust Kim Namjoon to support every hard working smart girl in the world like if it's his life duty I love you Namjoon,” stated an admirer.
“I loved this article a whole lot. There is something in the things Namjoon chooses to focus on and share with us that always resonates for me. There. I will savour that. That brief moment when the shields of human aloneness are pierced by connection,” wrote a fan.
“Our best leader, @BTS_twt #RM, is sharing words of comfort & understanding. The struggle to find happiness. It reminds me of his song, #RM_Heaven. (Heaven, to me, is saying you are at a point where you should be happy, but something you want is missing.),” commented another fan.

Some appreciated BTS' RM for showing his genuine “love and care,” while others stated that it was a “profound & thought-provoking” piece.

“the more reason to fall in love with him…the genuine love and care that he’s shared PLUSSSSS HE READS,” stated an admirer.
“He's gone & done it again. Joon shares such profound & thought-provoking pieces that always speak to me. I've been thinking of late about the meaning of happiness, what does it mean to be happy? I've come to the conclusion that happiness is a choice and you have to seek it,” commented another fan.
“Namjoon's story was from an article. It was a good read,Joon tells us stay happy. Happiness is everywhere, all around us Stay strong Joon,we love you,” stated a fan.
