On January 6, 2025, South Korean rapper G-Dragon's agency, Galaxy Corporation, denied reports of his February comeback, sparking mixed reactions from the K-pop community. The record label stated to the outlet TenAsia:

"It is true that the company is making plans, but nothing has been decided for sure."

Earlier, on the same day, the publication revealed that G-Dragon would make a comeback in February with a new full-length album. It was noted that the idol's latest tracks, including Power and HOME SWEET HOME, would be incorporated in the forthcoming record.

Soon after, news of Galaxy Corporation's denial regarding G-Dragon's release of a full-length album circulated rapidly on social media, evoking mixed reactions from fans due to previous reports of an October 2024 comeback. When the artist's October 2024 comeback was initially reported, the agency denied it immediately. However, the track Power was released on October 31, 2024.

Subsequently, fans demanded that the idol release his much-anticipated record as soon as possible. An X user, reacting to the agency denying the idol's comeback, tweeted:

"What?? It's going to be later than February?? I cant wait he needs to drop the album faster."

The fandom stated that they would wait for the idol's upcoming album.

"Glaxy always deny coz they even dont know the release date. it is up on GD's decision," a fan reacted.
"Y’all think G-Dragon’s gonna remember he’s got an album coming out this year? Let’s hope so," another fan shared.
"we will wait, but this album will definitly shake kpop world," an X user commented.

The internet users mentioned he unexpectedly dropped tracks such as Power and HOME SWEET HOME.

"I mean.. did he ever tell us the exact date? power and home sweet home really came unexpectedly, and that's not even D-1," an X user reacted.
"At this point even the album itself might be undecided," a fan shared.
"Galaxy - The world fastest denial issuance company," another fan mentioned.
