On August 22, 2024, Disney+ released the fourth episode of the travel show Are You Sure?!, starring BTS members Jungkook and Jimin with Taehyung as the special guest. Among the many moments in this episode, fans were particularly drawn to Taehyung's outfit choice, where he was seen wearing a shirt adorned with an image of his pet dog, Yeontan.
The shirt was part of the merchandise collection from his solo debut album Layover, where Yeontan played a significant role. The album itself featured several images of the black-and-tan Pomeranian, who is known as Tan or Tannie by fans.

Fans also loved it when Jimin shared he helped take care of Yeontan when the dog was very young. Jimin had also been spotted wearing the same shirt before, once during dance practice and another time at V's fan meet.

The pet was introduced to the BTS fandom during a 2017 live broadcast and quickly won the affection of ARMYs. In 2023, the singer prominently featured the pet on the cover of his debut solo album Layover.
The singer-songwriter also brought Yeontan on stage during a performance of his track Slow Dancing on Mnet's M Countdown. This moment marked Yeontan’s debut on a music stage, with fans playfully referring to it as his official entry into the idol world.
The BTS member is currently serving in the military and is to return to the spotlight in 2025.
