"He's celebrating chuseok alone"– Fans emotional as BTS' Jin celebrates Chuseok while members serve in the military

BTS’ Jin sent warm wishes on the occasion of Chuseok through a video message making fans emotional. On September 16, the first day of the Korean Thanksgiving Chuseok, Jin shared a video message for fans through the YouTube channel BANGTAN TV.

In the video, the Moon singer wore a traditional hanbok and wished fans to enjoy the Chuseok holidays while also acknowledging their hard work this year. He said,

“Our ARMY who have worked so hard until now, I would like to tell you, "great job"! I would also like to create great memories together for the rest of 2024. Enjoy lots of delicious holiday food. I hope you spend Hangawi (Chuseok) full of happiness with your loved ones.”

Jin was the only one in the celebratory video this year as the other members RM, Suga, j-hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook are serving in the military. Fans were emotional to see the eldest member spending this festival without his group mates.

"HAPPY CHUSEOK to everyone. This year we Don't get a live but a cute message from Jnnie missing 0t7 a lot. always be healthy and happy. Wishing you Happy Chuseok," another fan said.

"Happy Chuseok, Jin. Stay healthy, You've worked hard so please rest well (Btw, when the title says BTS but it's just Jin alone... I miss them all together so much)," another fan added.

Fans continued to share similar sentiments.

"Jin doing chuseok greetings alone. I’m just going to focus on this man and his work and continue supporting Yoongi on WV from now on. He’s been working so hard," one fan wrote.

Netizens expressed their wish to see all seven members together.

"It's monday morning and I'm in my BTS feels. That Chuseok greeting with Jin alone made me happy but also made me miss them all together even more," one fan said.

BTS’ Jin celebrates pre-chuseok with Celebrity chef Lee Yeon-bok

Before the 2024 Chuseok celebrations began, Jin met star chef Lee Yeon-bok for dinner. Jin is known to be a close friend of renowned South Korean chef Lee Yeon-bok.

The chef shared the time he spent with the BTS member through his social media. On Sunday, September 15, the chef shared a picture of the two posing together on his Instagram page.

As per the post shared by Lee Yeon-bok, the two went for dinner together in Yeouido, Seoul. The chef revealed that the Awake singer treated him with the meal so next time he would pay the bill.

For the unversed, Chuseok is the Korean Thanksgiving where family members gather together and relish Korean cuisine while sending their gratitude towards their ancestors. Notably, this year Chuseok is celebrated from September 16 to September 18, 2024.
