BTS' Kim Seok-jin released the full version of his popular single, Super Tuna, on October 11, 2024. The track was originally released on December 4, 2021, on his 29th birthday, however, the latest version arrived with an official music video. Fans were stunned when the South Korean Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries (MOF) left a comment under the official MV on YouTube:
“Oh! Super Tuna. I love it so much! Of course, I also like flatfish and Spanish mackerel! (Sharks, not so much…)” (as per Google Translate).
The BTS ARMY boasted with pride upon seeing the South Korean government take note of the latest release. They took X (formerly Twitter) by storm and one fan joked that the BTS idol would actually be mad at them.
"I absolutely love this!!!! Aaah, he’s gonna be so mad at us! Maybe he’ll come online to scold us…"
The BTS idol leaked the MV and the track on October 10, 2024, during his Weverse livestream. He then asked his fans to not share or stream the song illegally which further became an inside joke between the idol and his fans. They joked on X that they didn't stream the song and still the government saw it.
"I can see the vision that seokjin is gonna do a weverse live and gonna scold us very hard. This would be the title of his live "Army, I told you not to promote it. Aren't I?" I can hear him rapping in one breath." one fan wrote.
"That's right. When we say BTS have a very unique audience, this is what we mean." another fan noted.
"Jin we didn't betray you they just fell in love with super tuna." another fan added.
Others predicted that the idol would mention the incident on the next Weverse livestream.
"And I would not be surprised if they made him an ambassador," one fan said.
"HELPPPPP IRHEGAISHRHRB THE FACT THAT SEOKJIN SAID NOT TO SPREAD IT," another fan commented.
"Lmao Seokjin Seokjin what have you brought upon yourself hahahahaha I live this," one other fan wrote.
