BTS' Jungkook has garnered praise and compliments from various artists over the years, with the most recent acknowledgment coming from South Korean rapper and producer DinDin. Recently, a clip from a segment of his radio show on SBS Power FM's Music High from November 7, 2023, is gaining attention from fans.

Soon after the release of Jungkook's GOLDEN album on November 3, 2023, during his radio show on Power FM's Music High, the rapper DinDin compared the K-pop idol's bold musical choices, like the chorus relying on instrumental beats rather than melodies, to the work of top American pop stars.

He went on to draw parallels to the legendary American artist, Michael Jackson’s level of creativity. DinDin further expressed his admiration for the BTS member's latest music video for Standing Next to You and the album. He stated:

"you see that’s what those top of the top American pop stars do. They make the chorus part solely with instruments, without melodies. For example, there’s the part that goes ‘standing next to you’ and then instruments goes bam bam bam bam and it repeats. I was like ‘Is he Michael Jackson? How does he go so daring like this?’"

As translated by an X user (@JJK_Times), DinDin further praised Jungkook, calling him one of the most exceptional talents to come out of Korea. He admired how he flawlessly combined K-pop’s visual appeal with international pop music elements, creating a perfect blend. He further stated:

Further on, DinDin remarked that for him, the BTS idol's unmatched talent sets him apart, making him a true standout in the industry. The rapper also added humor by joking with his friend that Jungkook must be earning a lot, to which his friend assured him there was no need for him to worry about that.

DinDin emphasized how much the Euphoria singer deserves recognition for his abilities, noting that he hopes the singer continues to rise. However, the radio show host wondered if there was even any higher level left for him to reach given his extraordinary talent. He said:

"This is literally the first time I feel this way about someone else. The first time I actually thought ‘This person really deserves to get rewarded with what suits his abilities.’ For real, when I heard and saw his album and music video, I thought ‘I hope he goes higher x 4 and gets more x 4 recognition.’

The youngest member of BTS released his solo debut track Standing Next to You on November 3, 2023, as part of his album GOLDEN. The song quickly set numerous streaming records across various platforms. By June 24, 2024, it became the second fastest solo track by a K-pop artist to surpass 700 million streams on Spotify.
