On Wednesday, November 7, Norwegian singer-songwriter Peder Elias talked about Cha Eun-woo, their friendship, and their recent collaborative single, Hey Hello. In an interview with Inquirer, the singer stated that the K-pop idol and actor is a good friend he made two years ago when they first met and covered Elias' track, Bonfire.

While they remained good friends ever since, they were also able to put forth a collaborative track due to their bond. He added that Cha Eun-woo is one of the most talented people he's come across, as he's spotted excelling in various fields like fashion and music. He also mentioned that he admired the idol's humble personality despite the fame and talent he had.

“He’s talented in many ways: acting, music, modeling, and everything. Being such a global star can be challenging, knowing that he has crazy schedules all the time. So I admire that he’s still so humble and takes the time to see you as a person.”

Peder Elias continued to talk about Cha Eun-woo's shy personality.

“A lot of fans were bringing up the shy side of Eun-woo. I didn’t know that’s how he was because I already met him before. I think that it’s fun that (I came across his shy side) that way, knowing he has such a huge following. It was super fun.”

Peder Elias dishes about his recent collaboration with Cha Eun-woo, the Korean music industry, and more in a recent interview with Inquirer

Peder Elias stated that his recent collaborative track with Cha Eun-woo, Hey Hello, is a romantic song with a playful edge. He also highlighted that the song choice was a perfect match for working with the idol since they worked on a similar track two years prior, when they covered Bonfire.

Elias said:

“The idea of the song was already playful. The song shows that it doesn’t matter what you do in the world, as long as you’re with that person you enjoy being. And it’s what matters. It was a perfect match because of our past working relationship from the day we met and did the ‘Bonfire’ cover, we became really good friends and he’s just a lovely guy,"

Peder Elias also commented on his experience working in the Korean music industry. The singer is no stranger to the K-pop scene and has rolled out several collaborations with famous K-pop artists like (G)I-DLE’s Yuqi, Suran, and SEVENTEEN's BSS. Therefore, he talked about how he was impressed with the working culture in the industry.

“What’s great about Korea is the work ethic. It’s inspiring to be in an environment where it’s touch and go, and the drive of everyone working together in the industry is crazy.”

Furthermore, he expressed that he was surprised to see many famous K-pop stars as extremely humble, outgoing, and nice. Elias's track with Cha Eun-woo, Hey Hello, was released on August 30, 2024.
