On Monday, August 26, BTS Jin once again trended on X for the second episode of his variety show. The latest episode of RUN JIN featured the BTS singer buying 30 thousand won worth of gift cards from the South Korea pizzeria, Banolim Pizza, for the students at his alma mater, Bosung High School.
During his time of fun games and activities, the idol also treated the students to goodies and food from Banolim Pizza. Once this landed on the internet, several ARMYs flocked to the pizzeria to not only support the BTS singer but also his pizza place. This reportedly resulted in a tremendous profit for Banolim Pizza in just a few days.
As this news reached the netizens, fans couldn't help but swoon over the idol's impact and influence. Given that the idol didn't directly promote the pizzeria but was only spotted eating and buying pizza for the students from Bosung High School, fans commended the power he held and celebrated the same.
Banolim Pizza was the sponsor of the second episode of the idol's variety show.
"The impact Seokjin has over the world blows my mind. He is the trendsetter. He ordered pizza from @banolimpizza and now so many fans are ordering Banolim Pizza as well," one fan wrote.
"Honestly, I was craving that pizza with crazy toppings at 6 am thanks to #RunJin_EP2," said a fan on X.
"Banolim Pizza better gear and brace up for an order/customer hike and sales boost of a thousand folds...," added another fan.
More netizens joked about the BTS singer being a pizza ambassador.
"Wait.. so we can get Seokjin as pizza brand ambassador?" said an X user.
"New sponsor of #RunJin announced? Well, we know what the next news is from them..... crashed website, 200% increased sells, etc, etc," stated another fan on X.
"Kim Seokjin even a pizza ambassador now," added another X user.
All you need to know about BTS Jin's new variety program and its latest episode
On August 13, BTS's eldest member, Kim Seok-jin, kickstarted his own variety program called RUN JIN. The show stands as a spin-off of the K-pop boy group's variety show, RUN BTS. The idol stated that the show will be an adventure-based show, where he embarks on various activities, games, and other tasks.
The episodes of the show will be released on a weekly basis through the streaming platforms, YouTube and Weverse. Akin to the other BTS videos, the series will also be released through BANGTANTV, where the K-pop boy group releases vlogs, behind-the-scenes videos, and other clips that give insight into the members day-to-day lives.
On the other hand, the opening theme of RUN JIN is one of the famous tracks released by the K-pop idol, Super Tuna. While the first episode involved the idol taking a hike to reach the summit of Mount Hallasan in Jeju Island, the second episode was set in his old all-boys high school, Bosung High School.
The BTS idol visited his alma mater in his old school uniform and engaged with the students there. He not only had conversations with them and did some fan service, but also played a series of fun games with the boys there. Therefore, fans have been looking forward to more such episodes from RUN JIN coming their way.
