Olympian and gymnast Simon Biles stirred the online community when the ARMY suspected her to be a BTS fan. Koreaboo reported that an X user, @ColinSH3, was watching the 2024 Paris Olympics when she discovered a Korean phrase embroidered on the inside collar of Simon Biles' Team USA warm-up jacket.

The Korean text seemed to read, "No matter who you are, every one of us." The X user noted that the phrase sounded similar to BTS Kim Namjoon's 2018 UNICEF UN General Assembly speech.

ARMYs found Colin's observation to be impressive. Others wondered whether Simon Biles was a BTS ARMY similar to Italian Olympic gymnast Elisa Iorio, who has a "Love Yourself" tattoo inked on her back in Korean from the band's LOVE YOURSELF: Answer album. One fan wrote on X:

"ARMY, here is another ARMY Gymnast. and Prof Colin as usual writes beautifully about this.. Waav. Being a Korean now should be like constant elation. and BTS has done a great job (and a big portion of the job) in throwing light on K Language, K Culture..."

Admirers praised Simon Biles for being a decorated Olympian and were thrilled to assume her as a BTS fan. They mentioned that Namjoon's UNICEF speech became well-known due to its impactful words, which might have resonated with Simon Biles as well.

"I'm so happy seeing how many athletes are armys," one X user wrote.
"Wow, thank u for noticing and sharing. Whether ARMY or not, it seems like she may know BTS (that speech is so famous). She may have come across his speech and like many of us, found solace in RM's words," another X user said.
"This is when Paradise and yoongi's songs hit hard, when they remind you to rest & break free from the pressures of the world," one other X user added.

Others assessed the conjecture and stated that they would support Simon Biles regardless of whether or not she was a fan of the group.

"RM’s words bringing comfort to all corners of the world," one X user commented.
"I can't tell you how happy this makes me omg! To think one of my favorite athletes knows my fav musical artists! This is the best day I've had in a long time lol," another X user expressed.
"Oh I haven’t seen it. But I like it. Even if it is not related to RM’s speech. I love her for her journey," another X user added.
