On October 24, 2024, GQ Japan unveiled the first teasers of its December special cover edition featuring BTS' Jin. The special edition was released on Friday, November 1, 2024, for which the Epiphany singer also gave an exclusive interview. BTS' Jin was asked during the interview to convey a message to his fans, as the group is considered the voice of the young people. The idol said:

“I hope you don't lose your sense of calm. Even in busy times, I hope you don't lose yourself and find a way to make yourself happy.”

This message from Kim Seokjin impressed his followers. As a result, fans swamped the internet with their praises for the star. One user on X stated his words are comforting.

Jin of BTS made history by appearing on the covers of both Vogue Japan and GQ Japan in their December 2024 editions. On September 26, the two fashion magazines, owned by Condé Nast Japan, revealed Jin as the cover celebrity for their publications of the same month.

Vogue Japan created two cover versions featuring Jin, whereas GQ Japan only gave one unique cover.

On October 24, BTS' Jin delighted fans with images from the December issue of Vogue Japan. Subsequently, the preview videos for the December issues of Vogue Japan were also posted by the fashion magazine. Jin graced the front of Vogue Japan's 25th-anniversary issue, exhibiting his distinct flair in both the Standard and Special copies.
