On October 10, 2024, BTS' Jin took to South Korean social media platform Weverse, where he officially announced the release of Super Tuna's full version, sending the fandom into a frenzy. BigHit Music stated they were excited to announce the release of the forthcoming single and expressed their gratitude for the support Super Tuna received at the 2024 FESTA. The notice said:

BTS' Jin released Super Tuna to celebrate the act of fishing
Along with the Weverse announcement for BTS' Jin's Super Tuna full version, BigHit Music dropped the new album cover, presenting the artist with a different look. He wore a solid white t-shirt styled with a yellow printed shirt and stood amidst the sea holding a big fish in his hands. The poster also mentioned the release date and time - October 11, 1 PM, KST.
For those unversed, BTS' Jin dropped Super Tuna's original version on December 4, 2021, accompanied by a music video through the official BANGTAN TV YouTube channel. The track was subsequently released officially on October 21, 2022. The artist created the track while fishing with his producer-slash-friend Bumzu. It has been revealed that they had made the melody within five minutes to commemorate the act of fishing.
The track Super Tuna was accompanied by a music video where BTS' Jin was spotted grooving to the song on a beach with two background dancers. Subsequently, the animated ocean-specific scenarios appeared on the screen, followed by fishing and fish-like dance moves. Meanwhile, Bumzu made a guest appearance in the music video as one of the backup dancers.
In recent news, the artist has been appointed as the global brand ambassador for the Italian luxury fashion house Gucci and watch and luxury brand Fred. He was also a torchbearer in the 2024 Paris Olympics in the torch relay, where he represented the South Korean delegation.
