After the success of his second solo album Right Person, Wrong Place, BTS leader Namjoon is coming to captivate audiences with his upcoming solo documentary, RM: Right People, Wrong Place. HYBE first announced this exciting project on Weverse on September 3, describing it as a journey where his true self shines through as boundaries fade, offering an authentic portrayal of the artist.
Even before its official release, the documentary has already been selected for its world premiere at the 29th Busan International Film Festival (BIFF), a major milestone for the artist. The film will debut at the Busan Cinema Center’s outdoor BIFF Theater.
Tickets: Where, when and how?
On September 13, 2024, BTS’ official media channels shared ticketing information for the premiere. Fans eager to witness the documentary’s first showing can secure tickets through the BIFF (Busan International Film Festival) website starting on September 24. Ticketing details are available in both Korean and English, with sales opening at 10 AM KST.
While the official release date for the film remains under wraps, more info is expected through BTS and CJ 4DPLEX Originals later. The premiere will take place in an open-air theater setting at 8:00 PM on October 7, 2024, at the Busan Cinema Center.
Directed by Lee Seokjun and produced by HYBE, the documentary promises a deep dive into Namjoon's personal and creative journey. Lee Seokjun, who has previously worked on music videos for fellow BTS member J-Hope, brings his unique vision to this project. A global theatrical release of the documentary is planned for later this year.
