On September 23, 2024, HYBE introduced a new online platform aimed at protecting the rights and well-being of its artists, including acts such as BTS, TXT, LE SSERAFIM, and other various artists under the label.

The portal allows fans to report violations, such as defamatory posts and copyright infringements, to address growing concerns over online harassment and malicious content targeting the label’s artists.

This initiative consolidates all previous reporting channels, including BTS’s legal response hotline ([email protected]), into a unified system for more efficient management.

The notice was issued on the Weverse community notice of each artist, along with HYBE's website. The label stated that the new portal, accessible at protect.hybecorp.com, is designed to enable quicker and more systematic responses to violations. It stated:

"Hello. This is HYBE. We’ve launched a unified online portal for reporting violations of artists' rights, to safeguard the rights and well-being of our artists: protect.hybecorp.com The website will replace existing legal response hotlines, as we have integrated all artists’ reporting channels into one unified system."

The entertainment label urged fans to report any unlawful or harmful actions targeting their idols or groups if encountered online or otherwise. It further stated:

"Please do not hesitate to submit your reports through our online portal. HYBE will always strive to ensure that the rights of our artists are fully protected."

The company emphasized that it will continue to monitor and take legal action against malicious activity in real time, ensuring that all cases are prosecuted without leniency.

The label also expressed its gratitude to fans for their continued support, urging them to actively use the new platform to help safeguard the artists’ rights.

HYBE outlines malicious activities, including AI deep fake abuse and stalking, on newly launched website

The entertainment label has introduced a new portal where fans can report various malicious activities. The list of reportable actions includes defamation, rumors, false information, s*xual harassment, stalking, threats to artists' safety, and the illegal sale of flight information.

A separate category has been created to tackle the rise of AI-generated deepfakes, a serious cybercrime that has spread rapidly in South Korea. In response, the government of South Korea also initiated legal procedures to deal with those. In the statement, HYBE noted:

"Notably, we have created a separate category to expedite and bolster our response to illegal p**nography including AI-generated “deepfake” s*xual exploitation content, which has become a serious social problem in recent years. We actively monitor domestic and international platforms, including Telegram, X (formerly Twitter), and Discord, for deepfake-related content."

They further added that they will be working with official government authorities to investigate the reports they have received and will receive in the future. It stated:

"Additionally, we are seeking to strengthen our collaboration with relevant government agencies, including the Korea Communications Standards Commission, as well as relevant civic organizations."

The portal also allows fans to report copyright infringements related to music, videos, and other intellectual property linked to their artists.
