On August 27, 2024, the South Korean media outlet Newsen reported that HYBE released a statement revealing Min Hee-jin's participation in her own dismissal as ADOR's CEO. According to the statement, Min Hee-jin reportedly joined the board meeting via virtual mode and made the important decision regarding the future of the rising girl group NewJeans following her claim that she had no knowledge.

On the same day, it was announced that Min Hee-jin had stepped down from her role as ADOR's CEO. Subsequently, ADOR issued an official statement revealing that a board meeting had taken place in which Min Hee-jin was replaced by HR expert Kim Joo-young. Kim Joo-young previously served as the internal director of HYBE's sub-label.

HYBE reported that the board meeting was conducted by the legal procedures in the presence of Min Hee-jin

The news of Min Hee-jin's dismissal as the CEO of ADOR has stirred considerable discussion within the K-pop community, with many speculating about the reason behind the decision. Some fans have linked her dismissal to the recent online conflict between her and HYBE. Some also allegedly questioned the authenticity of the board meeting and wondered if Min Hee-jin was ignored during the conversation.

In response, HYBE issued a statement clarifying that the board meeting was held on August 27, 2024, according to the rules, regulations, and procedures set by the Commercial Act. Additionally, the articles of association, notification of agenda items, voting procedure, and other elements were done legally by the procedures set by the Commerical Act.

The date for the board meeting was selected from multiple dates previously recommended by former CEO Min Hee-jin when she requested a postponement. The agency revealed that former CEO Min Hee-jin officially participated in the board meeting in a virtual mode, and subsequently, the team made the best choice for the future of ADOR and NewJeans after necessary discussion.

According to the outlet, Min Hee-jin's side claimed that they were taken aback by an unexpected notice that they received on August 24, 2024, that the outcome of the board meeting was the change of ADOR's CEO. The creative director's side stated to the outlet:

"The dismissal was made unilaterally without regard to Director Min Hee-jin, and this is a serious violation of the shareholder agreement."

According to ADOR, the new CEO, Kim Joo-young, has been a human resource expert with multiple experiences in various fields. She would be in charge of looking after the management and organization of the sub-label's internal affairs. It was also revealed that the subsidiary's international organization would be separated from production and management.

Meanwhile, ADOR has assured the fandom that they will continue to showcase support for the growth and success of NewJeans.

Those unversed, ADOR, also known as All Doors One Room, is an independent label under HYBE Corporation, founded in 2021.
