BTS' V's Layover Vinyl is slated for release in South Korea through the HYBE label on Friday, September 20. Pre-orders for the vinyl edition of Layover began on Tuesday, August 20, 2024, at 11 AM KST.

As the release date neared, fans noted that their vinyl pre-orders had not yet been dispatched, leading to frustration among Taehyung's supporters. This shipping delay prompted a wave of reactions online, with fans flooding the internet with their responses.

Fans propelled “HYBE STOP SABOTAGING TAEHYUNG” to global trending status on X, extending their support to the K-pop idol. As of this writing, this comment has garnered more than 33k tweets on X from Taehyung’s diehards.

Many other comments from BTS' V’s supporters have been recorded on the internet. Those who previously placed orders as well as others attempting to place their orders seemed annoyed at understocking and delays. Thus, they were reminded of the period when Layover albums were launched and they came across similar problems.

“Layover vinyls kept getting sold out on weverse and varying online shops multiple times and each time kths and Tae fbs had to tag for bighit and hybe to re-stock. Under-stocking and now delaying shipments just like Layover CDs I’m sick and tired!” a fan wrote.
“Pre-orders of Layover Vinyls aren't being shipped in Korea. There is not a single post about Layover LP's release. We see what you do, we won't be silent. We respect the artist so should you,” another person commented.
“HYBE, what’s going on? Pre-ordered Tae's album on day one and still haven't received it. Many others facing the same issue. This is unacceptable!” an X user tweeted.

In addition to the shipment delays, fans criticized HYBE for insufficient promotional efforts regarding BTS' V's Layover Vinyl release. They also raised questions over Taehyung’s mistreatment.

“It feels like Layover era all over again. How do u call yourself a music company and NOT promote member releasing music,” a fan remarked.
“posting about ays merch, photobook, teasers 10 times a day but not a single post about layover lp?! And then they say we promote music?” an X user commented.
“Hybe has time to tweet about everything while sabotaging Taehyung more & more. When will army finally talk about Taehyung’s mistreatment?” another supporter weighed in.
“posting ab fs show merch, photobook (using Tae), teasers x10 daily but not a single post about layover lp since the first notice, that’s less than a bare min. that’s not very “we believe in music” of you,” an X user commented.

BTS' V’s Layover solo album made its debut in September 2023

Kim Taehyung's first solo album, Layover, was released on September 8, 2023. The R&B and Jazz album featured pre-release compositions such as Love Me Again, Rainy Days, For Us, Blue, and Slow Dancing (Piano Ver.). The tracklist for the vinyl edition of the album is kept the same.

On August 21, 2024, BTS' V attracted considerable online attention as outraged fans pushed the hashtag "ADD TAEHYUNG'S MUSIC" to global trending status.

BIGHIT MUSIC (currently HYBE Labels) revised the official website banners of the BTS UK Shop featuring the album cover images of all members' solo albums except Kim Taehyung. The banner displayed covers of Jimin’s MUSE, Jungkook’s GOLDEN, Jin’s The Astronaut, Agust D’s D-DAY, RM’s Indigo, and J-Hope’s HOPE ON THE STREET.

BTS' V’s supporters noted the absence of his solo album, Layover, and his single FRI(END)S from the website banner. Therefore, fans targeted the HYBE label.
