BTS’ Jungkook's latest posts on Instagram page dedicated to his dog Bam caused a huge stir on social media. On September 14, the BTS member's sudden post led netizens to speculate whether a third party had hacked his social media page.
Recently, NewJeans members voiced their support for Min Hee-jin following her dismissal as CEO of ADOR amid a public feud between HYBE and Min Hee-jin. Many netizens believed that Jungkook's posts on his dog's account were in support of NewJeans.
He first shared an unseen photo of his Doberman with the caption:
“Artists are not guilty.”
Furthermore, he used five representative heart emoticons of NewJeans in the caption, further fueling the speculations. However, his second post the same day made BTS fans speculate if his social media account was hacked.
The post was a picture of Bam accompanied by a caption:
“Don’t use them.”
Fans took to social media to share their thoughts online. One fan on Instagram commented:
“I believe it's hacked”
Several other fans expressed similar sentiments online.
“War is over, Jungkook was hacked, he didn’t upload those posts n the ridiculous ones who used him cuz they thought he supported nj and the antis who threw hate at him saying that bc he didn’t upload anything from the other members, they were humiliated. Stop misinforming,” a fan added.
“NewJeans fans making fun of Armys who are saying Jungkook's account may have been hacked and tbh it might actually be because this post is weird,” a user stated.
BTS fans continued to question whether someone hacked Jungkook's account.
“It’s the smear campaign, they’re desperately working hard.. but ARMYs work harder we won’t fall for it,” a fan wrote.
“All im saying is whoever hacked him at least try to be a lil less obvious. the guy either makes no caption or uses exclusively cutieful aegyofied hangul there's no in between,” another X user commented.
"I can't imagine the embarrassment for these big new jeans fanbases would feel," a fan said.
Netizens mentioned that the Seven singer usually wrote captions in his native language, Korean, and speculated that the posts with English captions were not shared by him.
“Very confused about the caption on that jungkook bam post… it reads like he got hacked lol,” a fan stated.
“After 4 hours, Jungkook used his phone again to post this??? In the military they have a time limit to USE their phone. It's obvious that the account was hacked,” a user stated.
“That Bam account is definitely hacked, the last post with the « don’t use them » is so obvious. Everyone who knows Jungkook knows he doesn’t post like this. People are so weird,” another fan said.
Netizens are divided over BTS’ Jungkook’s recent Instagram page dedicated to his dog Bam
On February 28, 2023, BTS’ Jungkook deactivated his personal social media account, stating that he did not use the app often. However, he returned to the platform on April 14, 2024, as the father of his pet dog Bam.
His recent posts divided the internet as some netizens speculated it to be a supportive message for NewJeans amid HYBE and Min Hee-jin’s conflict, while others believed the page was hacked.
According to Sports Today, netizens speculated that the posts were an indirect message to former ADOR CEO Min Hee-jin, suggesting she was using NewJeans as a shield. In response to the speculations, an official from HYBE told Sports Today:
“We are currently checking the artist's true intentions.”
Previously, on September 11, NewJeans started a YouTube live session where they shared being neglected by HYBE and showed their support for Min Hee-jin. Meanwhile, the BTS vocalist is currently serving in the military and is expected to be discharged in June 2025.
