On Tuesday, July 16, BTS' Jin sat down for an interview with W Korea following his photoshoot featuring him in FRED Jewelry. The collaboration was rolled out to commemorate the idol's recent ambassadorship with the luxury jewelry brand FRED. During the interview, the idol talked about several things, including his military service, the 2024 Festa hug event, solo activities, and more.

He also shared his perspective on friendship. The interviewer stated that a psychologist had expressed that friendship is the greatest achievement. They added that since Jin is someone who keeps a close set of friends who have known him since his childhood, they were curious if his idea of what friends mean to him has changed over the years.

The interviewer inquired if he wished he had more friends. To which the idol responded:

"I believe l already have enough close friends. I have our BTS members as well as those I meet regularly."

He further added:

"While I do occasionally meet other friends, it's challenging to meet them often as they live far away and have busy lives. I also don't actively seek to make more friends because I want to ensure I give enough attention to my current friends. I click well with them, and I am happy with my relationship with them."

Jin talks about military experience, BTS members, 2024 FESTA Hug event in interview with W Korea

The interview with W Korea began with congratulations to Jin on his ambassadorship with FRED and his military discharge. In response, the idol stated that he was skeptical whether the jewelry would suit him, but he was happy with how well it complemented his style.

The interviewer also inquired about the drastic weather in his military experiences. Moreover, when asked if he had learned or changed anything about himself after the enlistment, Jin shared that there's nothing that particularly changed about him, and he simply enjoyed his time performing his duties as a soldier.

The idol also commented on his experience at the 2024 FESTA hug event. He shared that he was happy to organize the event, as it was his idea. However, he was disappointed at how fast it went by.

Moving on, the interviewer asked about his solo projects. When it came to releasing songs, the interviewer asked what aspect he gave the most attention to.

"First of all, I wanted to perform the most. So when I work on a song, I think about whether it's a good song to perform or not. We've done so many performances so far. I consider which stages are exciting and things like that first," the idol responded.

Jin also added that when it comes to singing, he places a lot of importance on mixing emotions with his voice, as it impacts the listeners more.

Moreover, the idol was asked about his positive attitude and whether it was something he had adorned since a young age. He said that he doesn't get stressed easily and added:

"I periodically tell myself, 'The world is happy'. In fact, I can't avoid stress, but I try to reduce it as much as possible. Of course, I get angry sometimes. But what good does it do if I get angry? It's natural that there are times when you gain joy and times when you suffer losses, so the best thing to do is to try to forget about losses as quickly as possible."

Furthermore, Jin commented on BTS' 11th year in the music journey. He stated that he learned how to live happily and not ponder too much over the past. The lesson he learned was to keep only the good memories. Moreover, when it comes to BTS' future, the group doesn't have many goals or expectations other than letting things flow.

BTS' Jin concluded the interview by sharing his thoughts on happiness. He expressed that he is happiest when he is working and hopes for this feeling to last a long time.
