"I feel so honored to be able to carry the torch. I also want to say that I am so sincerely grateful to our ARMYs and fans who made it possible for me to carry the torch. I was so nervous that I didn't know how time passed, but I was able to do my best and finish thanks to the loud cheers from many people there."

On July 14, which coincided with Bastille Day, France's national day, Jin carried the flame at the 2024 Paris Olympics as South Korea's representative. The idol was chosen as one of the 10,000 torchbearers of this year's Olympics Torch Relay for his global influence and dedication to spreading messages of self-love and peace through his music.
As the idol walked through the Louvre section with the flame, a large crowd gathered to see the historical event. From fans to reporters, the place buzzed with people, and Jin was seen interacting with a few of them. He was wearing the official torch relay uniform in pure white. Following the end of the Olympics Torch Relay, the idol commented about his experience.
The idol also talked about the athletes of the South Korean team and wished them the best of luck. Here's what he said:
"I hope that all the Korean national team members who participated in the Olympics will achieve great results as much as they have worked hard, and I will cheer them on with all my heart."
The idol further added:
"I also hope that much interest will continue for the ‘17th Paris Paralympic Games’ to be held this August. I will also work harder in the future and become a Jin who shows a good image."
Recently, the idol was discharged from his mandatory military service. He completed his 18-month service as an active drill instructor on June 12. After his discharge, the idol has been actively interacting with his fans and rolling out solo projects and events. For BTS' 11th debut anniversary, Jin organized a light hug event with 1000 ARMYs.
