On October 29, 2024, Herald POP News reported that Min Hee-jin claimed that she was stalked by a person and allegedly received death threats. The former ADOR CEO appeared as a special guest on the South Korean show Kim Young-dae's School of Music live broadcast to talk about the ongoing feud with HYBE.
She said that a while ago, a taxi driver told her that she was followed by a different car. She elaborated on how she changed routes but the car still followed her.
"I was followed a while ago. I found out because the taxi driver told me. A certain car followed me exactly, so I turned the car to a strange route where it couldn't follow me, but it still followed me. It said it followed me from in front of my house. I didn't get off at my destination and asked them to get off somewhere else."
She continued:
"The driver told me what kind of car it was. It followed me. I chased it and even said, 'You!' I reported it to the police right away and caught it. I also received death threats. But I don't think I'm destined to die."
Min Hee-jin claimed that BTS' Taehung calls her sometimes from the military
Herald POP News reported that Min Hee-jin claimed during Kim Young-dae's School of Music live broadcast on October 29, that BTS' Kim Taehyung aka V called her to ask if she had been doing okay. She claimed that the Layover singer-songwriter also texted her on her birthday.
"V calls me sometimes from the military. He's so bright and bubbly. Even though I'm going through this, he contacted me brightly and asked, 'Are you okay?' He said he could tell when I would contact him. I was grateful that he worried a lot. He sent me a text message at dawn on my birthday from the military. I thought he was a really sweet kid. I was touched."
However, it is important to note that Min Hee-jin's birthday falls on December 16, and Taehyung enlisted in the South Korean military on December 11, 2023. As per military rules, new recruits aren't allowed to use cell phones, when they undergo mandatory extensive military training before their deployment.
However, as per The Korea Times report in June 2023, Korea's military manpower agency permitted new recruits to use phones for 1 hour on weekends and holidays for a trial period of July to December.
For the unversed, BTS' Taehyung collaborated with Min Hee-jin while he was creating his debut solo album, Layover. The former ADOR CEO executive produced the album, created the concept of the set, and more. The album's promotional style was also decided by Min Hee-jin.
NME reported in August 2023, that Min Hee-jin stated that Taehyung's debut solo album was based on "a lot of" her own preferences in terms of music, visuals, and concept. Layover was released on September 8, 2023.
In other news, on October 29, Sports Chosun reported that Min Hee-jin's injunction was rejected by the 50th Civil Agreement Division of the Seoul Central District Court. Earlier, she had filed an injunction to get re-appointed as the CEO of ADOR after she was removed from the position on August 27, 2024.
Meanwhile, the court found her injunction plea invalid as per the law and rejected her request for reinstatement.
