BTS’ Jin is gaining attention from fans as Prof. Kim shared an anecdote from his military service days regarding his reading habits. Professor Kim Eul-ho is a reading coach expert known for his contribution to promoting reading culture in South Korea, he also runs a YouTube channel titled President of Reading.
Prof. Kim held a reading program at the 5th Army Infantry Division in Yeoncheon, Gyeonggi-do Province. During his recent YouTube video, he spoke about the moments he shared with Jin. He stated that during the first session with the troop, he received a unique question from the BTS vocalist regarding success and happiness.
“The question was about whether success was related to happiness. When he, a BTS member who’s a superstar, came to ask a question like that, I felt that “wow he was taking notes attentively to ask a question like this.”

“And there was a library named “A library with dreams” on the second floor, and once in a while I personally witnessed him reading a book there. Then I realized that reading was a part of his life routine.”

On June 12, 2024, BTS’ Jin concluded his military service at the 5th Infantry Division in Yeoncheon. Following his mandatory service conclusion, Jin has participated in several Variety Show appearances and has been named the global ambassador for luxury brands including Gucci and Fred. He was also announced as the worldwide ambassador for the cosmetics brand LANEIGE.
On September 20, he appeared at the Gucci Spring Summer 2025 Women's Wear collection showcase for Milan Fashion Week. He was all over social media for his look, he donned a multicolored knitted sweater illustrating the shades of maroon, orange, and purple with a V neckline.
