BTS’ Jin's latest episode of RUN JIN has left the internet divided, as the show host went on a playdate with a kid. On December 10, 2024, BANGTAN TV unveiled episode 13 of Run Jin titled, Don't Watch This If You Don't Want to Marry Jin. Initially, the episode's teaser created massive curiosity among fans as it was hinted that Jin would go on a blind date.

However, it was later revealed that he went on a playdate with Yoon Tae-ha, a 3-year-old boy. Fans were delighted to see Jin engaging in fun activities with Yoon Tae-ha and looking out for and caring for him.

Netizens started making jokes implying that the childbirth rate in South Korea would increase after people watched this episode of the variety show. Notably, South Korea has the lowest birth rate in the world which is 0.72 per person in 2023, as per Salzburg Global. In response, President Yoon Suk-yeol announced a national birth rate emergency on June 19, 2024, at a presidential committee meeting.

Some netizens claimed the episode promoting the birth rate increased propaganda through the playdate between the BTS member and Yoon Tae-ha.

Netizens took to X to voice their thoughts while criticizing fans who repeatedly made ‘birth rate propaganda’ memes online correlating to the latest RUN JIN episode.

“If this is really used to try getting the birth rate up, it’s not gonna work cuz they’ll want to have a kid with JIN. Not the piece of sh*t men that disrespect women lmfao,”- a user said.

“Sorry, maybe I'm missing something, but I don't think the posts saying "here's the solution to SK birth rate" about Run Jin is appropriate at all. And no, I'm not fun at parties,”- a fan wrote.

Meanwhile, other fans shared amusing reactions related to the latest RUN JIN episode and the birth rate in South Korea.
