GOT7’s BamBam recently posted an Instagram story that sparked a wave of concern among his fans. The single-line message was shared amidst the preparations for his upcoming comeback, Bamesis. The post raised alarm because BamBam had just completed his first solo world tour, AREA 52 (2023-24), and a new album was already on the horizon in less than five months.
In his Instagram story, BamBam expressed a desire to rest and never wake up, leaving fans deeply worried about his well-being. They feared his work schedule and the pressure of new commitments might overwhelm him.
Later that same day, he shared a longer Instagram post, providing a more transparent account of his current feelings. He reassured fans he was aware of his exhaustion and promised to take care of himself. Fans responded with a mix of concern and support, rallying around the star during this challenging time.
"Twice in less than a month he has said I want to rest. Why does he have to ask so much," a concerned fan said.
"Give him rest now that he’s basically begging for it. Please, please. you can take our money AFTER we know he is ok," another fan said.
"I hate how he has to say sorry for feeling overwhelmed. he deserves to be happy and rest until he feels better," another fan expressed.
BamBam's current mental health leaves fans concerned
On July 25, 2024, GOT7’s BamBam shared an update causing concern among his fans. As he gears up for his comeback, Bamesis, with teaser images and schedules already released, he posted an unexpected message that left fans feeling uneasy.
He uploaded a black screen photo with the words,
"I just want to sleep and don’t wake up so I can finally rest."
This message seemed quite negative and appeared to reflect poor mental health. A similar situation occurred on July 5, when he posted a tweet in Korean, stating,
"I really really want to rest."
On July 25, in response to fans' concerns expressed through numerous comments, he shared a longer post,
"It's been a long run from last year till now and still a long way to go. It was a lot of pressure and stress, and since my body hasn't been feeling well for a long time now, sometimes I'm getting sensitive and emotional. I'll do my best this year and will find my time to rest. I'll be okay. Sorry if I caused any worry. Have a good day."
From this post, fans understood BamBam is truly exhausted from his schedule and needs a break.
Bamesis, his third solo mini-album, is to come out on August 8, 2024, with a showcase tour starting in Thailand. Considering that his AREA 52 tour concluded in March of this year, releasing another album in such a brief span has fans worried about the toll on his well-being.
