On September 27, 2024, BLACKPINK's Jennie posted new pictures on Instagram, seemingly hinting at the release date of her upcoming solo album. Previously, on September 9, 2024, she signed a global solo deal with Columbia Records and confirmed releasing an album in October.
Her recent Instagram post, which had the number "1011" scrawled in big white on the ground, suggested a possible date. Observant followers speculated that it may indicate that on October 11, 2024, she will release her solo album. Some fans also noted that October 11 is also designated as International Day of the Girl Child, also referred to as International Day of the Girl.
Fans were impressed by the coincidence and shared several speculations online, suggesting Jennie as a "girl's girl." For the unversed, a "girl's girl" is a popular online phrase used to imply that a woman is supportive of other women's successes. One fan wrote,
"I love her mind so much i wanna kiss it"
Fans wondered if her album would be about the issues faced by girls in society.
"I wonder, is the song abt how girls being treated nowadays or anything else," one fan wrote.
"Damnnn no one is doing it like her she is hitting so different and boldly the Woman's Woman Jennie kim," another fan praised her.
"On international girl's day?? Oh Jennie you beautiful woman," one other fan added.
Others praised her for her creativity and concept for her forthcoming solo project.
"She is really creative. She downloaded intermittent images on her site as an event for her fans, and her fans took all your pieces and installed them to get the date of the fall of her single," one fan noted.
"Mother is returning. All her concepts go so hard," another fan said.
"Why do I got a feeling female kpop idols gone make an appearance in the mv. Western artists do it all the time and it would explain aespa commenting on her post as well," another fan added.
