Actress Han So-hee shared the news of the series Gyeongseong Creature season 2 coming out in September during her Instagram Live on August 22.

“I think Gyeongseong Creature 2 will probably come out in September," she said.

Prior to this, it was reported by Korean media houses Naver and Star News, that Gyeongseong Creature season 2 would be reportedly released on September 27, 2024.

Gyeongseong Creature is a South Korean historical drama suspense mystery horror television series starring Park Seo-joon, Han So-hee, and Claudia Kim. The first season of the drama was released on Netflix from December 22, 2023, to January 5, 2024. News of the second season has generated considerable enthusiasm among fans. Shortly thereafter, fans took to social media to express their thoughts and excitement.

Live on Instagram, Han So-hee talks about, Gyeongseong Creature season 2's release, her health, and more

On August 22, 2024, actress Han So-hee hosted an Instagram live session, sharing a relaxed look at her daily life from her bedroom and interacting with fans. When asked about Gyeongseong Creature season 2, she excitedly announced that it will be released in September.

Also, in the live fans inquired about her well-being, Han So-hee responded with a laugh, attributing her appearance to having just woken up. Han So-hee then discussed about a recent medical checkup, easing fans' concerns by sharing the positive results. She mentioned her commitment to maintaining her health through exercise and a balanced diet, generating significant interest among her followers.

Gyeongseong Creature and Han So-hee

Set in 1945, during the occupation of Gyeongseong (the former name for Seoul) by the Imperial Japanese Army, Jang Tae-sang, the proprietor of the city's most successful pawnshop, and Yoon Chae-ok, a private investigator searching for her missing mother, encounter an unusual creature that was the product of covert biological experiments conducted within Ongseong Hospital.

The narrative portrays the atrocities committed against civilians by the Japanese forces, who subjected men and women to secret biological experiments, the monstrous creature that resulted from those human experiments and the rebels who opposed them.

According to Korean media Naver, season 2 of the drama Gyeongseong Creature setting has been relocated to Seoul in the year 2024. This season will centre around the unresolved romantic entanglements, destinies, and ill-fated connections of Gyeongseong.

The drama received significant attention before its release due to the casting of Park Seo-joon and Han So-hee as the main leads. In season 1, Han So-hee portrayed Yoon Chae-ok, a specialist in locating missing individuals. Park Seo-joon played Jang Tae-sang, an affluent individual who owns the House of Golden Treasure, the most prestigious pawnshop in Gyeongseong.
