"I’m glad there is proof"— ARMY's interaction with BTS' Jimin & Jungkook on Are You Sure?! goes viral after months following the latest episode release

On Thursday, August 8, the first two episodes of Are You Sure?! starring BTS' Jimin and Jungkook was released on Disney+.

A clip from the travel variety show showcased the BTS vocalist shopping at a grocery store in Connecticut, that's when an ARMY salesperson who identifies herself as Syarin on X, asked them if they were from South Korea as she recognized them. The two idols amusingly replied with a “maybe”, as they believed she might not be aware of them.

Syarin then asked them if they knew BTS, while Jungkook stated, “Maybe”, once again for fun and Jimin replied "Yes." The salesperson showed her BTS-related tattoo to them and they were surprised to meet a fan and shook hands with her.

Syarin's old tweets on X from July 2023, started to resurface online where she described her experience meeting Jimin and Jungkook unexpectedly. The tweets went viral as netizens could not stop talking about it.

In a tweet, she said,

“Not that I needed it, but I’m glad there is proof that Jimin and Jungkook were two towns over yesterday cos now people can stop telling me I was talking to look a likes in stop and shop.”

In July 2023, Syarin shared her experience meeting Jimin and Jungkook while she was on duty at a pizza store in the US. She saw two Asian men coming and tried to peek in and found out it was the BTS members. According to the ARMY, she was encouraged by one of her coworkers to get a picture with them, as proof.

However, as she called out to Jimin and asked about a picture, he made an expression implying they were not allowed to do so as they were still filming Are You Sure?! Syarin stated,

“Another coworker insisted that I had to go ask for a picture. I hate pictures. But ya know..proof. Jungkook had gotten his pizza and gone at this point so I went over and called Jimin’s name. He looked at me and I asked about a picture.”

However, Jimin asked for a pen, gave her an autograph, and hugged her.

She stated,

“He made a face so I was like oh okay, no problem! But he asked for a pen so my coworker got us a pen and paper and he signed it, gave me a hug, almost forgot his pizza and then left. I then found a corner and died in it for like ten min and spent the next 3hrs in la la land.”

Many netizens did not believe her back then with the tweets but since the episodes were released, many expressed their happiness watching this turning out to be true.

Additionally, Syarin addressed herself as a “random loser”, in her tweet who met her favorite K-pop idols. Notably, later Jimin was seen appreciating her pizza acknowledging that it was made by a BTS fan.
