BTS' leader, Kim Namjoon, also known as RM, came home on July 28, 2024, according to the fans, as he made a long-awaited appearance on Weverse. Not only did he reactivate his account, but he also delighted fans by answering a wide range of their questions. Kim Namjoon conversed with multiple fans, addressing inquiries about his recent military service, weight gain, and other topics.

His characteristic sarcasm shone through in each response. Among the questions, he addressed one about the group’s oldest member, Jin, being the torchbearer for the Korean team at the Olympics. However, one question that particularly captured the fandom's attention was:
“What’s the first thing you want to do most after you get discharged?”
To this, RM creatively replied:
“I’m going to let out big scream.”
This answer resonated with fans as both funny and serious, reflecting the hard work Namjoon has been putting in during his military service while also finding moments of levity.
BTS' RM returns on Weverse for a Q&A session with the fans
On July 28, marking almost eight months of his enlistment, RM held an impromptu and indirect question and answer session for his fans. However, the questions were already asked by the fans in the form of Weverse posts. Out of the many, a handful got randomly picked by BTS' leader and playfully answered.
One of the fans asked how he was doing in the military, to which Namjoon answered:
“It’s a period where I’m living because I’m living.”
According to the fans, this was quite a creative response just like the lyrics of his songs. Another fan asked him how his military was treating him and whether it was a less hospitable place.
He answered:
"Hahahah, I’m doing okay. it's just another place where people live"
Then, a fan went on to ask Namjoon to share some funny stories from his military service. He diligently replied that there was a lot to tell and that he'd tell them next year, when he returns.
One of the other fans made an emotional assertion by asking RM to return from the military as soon as possible with the words:
“Oppa, come back quickly.”
Namjoon answered this creatively, saying:
“Please turn the hands of the clock. Hahaha”
This means to fast forward the hands of a clock so time goes by quickly in a hypothetical way. One of the questions was even regarding his bulk from recent times. The fan asked:
"Oppa, you've gotten a lot bigger these days."
To which the K-pop star replied:
"That's right, i've become 75kgs..I'm going to work hard to lose it next year."
Lastly, he commented on his bandmate Jin’s Olympic torch-bearing photo, saying:
“Wow.”
Fans had their slice of fun due to this unexpected session from their beloved star in their comments.
RM enlisted in the military along with his bandmate V on December 11, 2023, while Jungkook and Jimin enlisted the following day on December 12. His discharge is due somewhere around June of next year. After the discharge of these four members, BTS will reportedly make a group comeback.
