BTS' Kim Taehyung attended IU's concert at the Seoul World Cup Stadium on September 22, 2024. The concert marked the finale of her South Korean leg of the HER World Tour, which was also her 100th concert performance.
Meanwhile, Taehyung, who goes by his stage name V, came to support his close friend Lee Ji-eun, aka IU, despite his ongoing military enlistment. He was seen standing and recording IU's performance of Love wins all. For the unversed, Love wins all was IU's comeback single starring BTS' V, released on January 24, 2024. The track was later added to her album, The Winning, released on February 19.
The clips went viral online as netizens lauded the camaraderie between the two K-pop celebrities. Furthermore, the BTS idol shared several pictures on his Instagram story, including a picture with BTS' J-Hope. Reacting to the surfaced clips, one fan on X wrote:
"Taehyung was hugging the pillow while watching love wins all performance... IM GONNA CRY"
V was spotted sitting in the VIP section, casually dressed in a white tee, navy blue sweatshirt, and jeans. During her performance of Love wins all, he stood up to applaud IU. BTS ARMY praised how V kept recording IU's live encore performance of Love wins all at the Seoul concert.
"Taehyung was smiling watching iu perform love wins all and recording it," one fan noted.
"So the reason why he posted a behind pic of Love Wins All MV was because taehyung watched IU's concert and with hobi! see you in 261 and 25 days!" another fan added.
"Protagonist of love wins all mv aka taehyung came to watch IU s concert with his friend , tae tae recorded or took pics while jieunie singing LWA. Taejun and jihye pls be happy always," one other fan stated.
Others remarked on how the BTS sensation honored IU by standing through her performance. They underscored how the BTS idol also got to witness Taejun and Jihye's happy ending on the screen. For the uninitiated, Taejun and Jihye were the character names of Taehyung and IU from the MV Love wins all.
"During the performance of Love Wins All, Taehyung put on his glasses, hugged the pillow, and began watching the performance very seriously. He also took a video at the time of the performance," one fan wrote.
"Taehyung stood throughout IU's presentation at Love Wins All, he really admires and respects her very much. He's such a pure," another fan added.
"Tae saw the alternate happy ending to IU's "Love Wins All" MV characters Taejun and Jihyo on the big screen and how their characters are loved by fans!" one other fan highlighted.

For the unversed, IU's HER world tour began on March 2, 2024, at Seoul's KSPO Dome and traveled through Japan, Singapore, Taiwan, Indonesia, the Philippines, Malaysia, Germany, the United Kingdom, the United States, and more.
Wrapping up the final show of the tour at Seoul World Cup Stadium, the singer gave a heartfelt speech. She expressed her gratitude towards the fans who came to see her performance from far and wide. She said:
"We’ve come to the final moment of the tour. I’ll do my best. I know some of you are heading back after this song, and it’s Monday tomorrow. May this feeling of happiness you experienced from today’s concert last for a week, a month or even a year is what I hope. May it be your motivation to look forward to IU’s next concert so that even on days that you find tough, you’ll cheer up a bit."
Before her encore performance, IU shared that she is also the biggest fan of her admirers, UAENA (the name of IU's fan club), and added:
"It’d be nice if that moment of me waving the lightstick (during I stan U) could come to your mind even for a split second. I, too, am your longtime fan. So please hang in there. I shall sing the final song and bid you farewell. For those who are staying back (for the en-encore), see you later. But for now, let me say goodbye first."
In other news, BTS Taehyung is currently serving in the Special Duty Team (SDT) division of the Republic of Korea Army. He enlisted on December 11, 2024, and is expected to return on June 10, 2025.
