Chef Ahn Sung-jae appeared in a Subway advertisement titled, 'Subway Ahnchang Beef Collection' posted by the multinational fast food restaurant through its YouTube channel on November 4, 2024. In the video, the chef tried to evaluate the franchise's Sandwich and stated, as translated by Maeil Business Newspaper:
"What's the menu you prepared today? After taking a bite of the product, he said, 'I think it's quite satisfactory for a sandwich made by a franchise. If it's this price and this quality, I think I'll go and eat it from time to time."
Subsequently, the latest Subway advertisement video circulated on social media, and the fandom could not contain their excitement. They reacted hilariously to the clip, and an X user tweeted:
"Idk why but I'm laughing already when he appeared like that lol."
Netizens wondered how much Chef Ahn Sung-jae was paid to film the commercial. Many also claimed that with his latest appearance, he might get acting offers in the dramas or movies.

More about Chef Ahn Sung-jae
One of the most popular and prominent Chefs in South Korea, Ahn Sung-jae, was born in 1982. He completed his graduation from Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts in Los Angeles. Although he was born in South Korea, he resided in California as his parents ran a Chinese restaurant. Initially, he enlisted in the US Army, where he worked as a mechanic.
After he left the army, he was set to attend mechanic school to become a Porsche mechanic. Fortunately, he came across a culinary school and instead enrolled there. He did not enroll in the mechanic school. Ahn Sung-jae's restaurant Mosu was honored with the milestone of receiving three stars in 2023 and 2024.
In recent news, he was one of the judges for the hit 2024 Netflix cooking contest series Culinary Class Wars.
For those unversed, Culinary Class Wars showcased a fierce competition between one hundred elite chefs segregated into two divisions, including white spoons (veterans) and black spoons (newcomers). They were competing for the prize money of 300 million Korean won. Meanwhile, the second season has been confirmed and slated for broadcast in 2025.
