More about BLACKPINK's Rosé's solo activities after terminating her contract with YG Entertainment

In December 2023, Rosé and the rest of the BLACKPINK members ended their solo contracts with YG Entertainment. However, the four members renewed their group contract as BLACKPINK with the company. Jennie, Jisoo, and Lisa established their respective companies following their exit.

However, Rosé signed with The Black Label, a YG Entertainment subsidiary, in June 2024. In September 2024, she signed a global solo partnership with the American record label, Atlantic Records. The label houses Western artists like Bruno Mars, Coldplay, Cardi B, Charlie Puth, and Jason Derulo, among others.

In an Instagram post on October 1, she announced the scheduled release of her debut solo album, Rosie, set for December 6, 2024.

“I cannot believe I am finally announcing my first album release to you all (......) I fell asleep many nights feeling confused and lost. But with the support of my dear friends and family, my team, and of course my number ones, I am sat here today excited to announce the date of my album release," she said.
"I have poured my blood and tears into this album. I cannot wait for you to listen to this little journal of mine. Rosie – is the name I allow my friends and family to call me. With this album, I hope you all feel that much closer to me," the BLACKPINK star added.

On October 1, Billboard reported that BLACKPINK's Rosé's solo album, Rosie, is a full-length studio album including 12 tracks.
