On October 8, 2024, BIGHIT MUSIC (now HYBE Labels) launched the latest "2024 DALMAJUNG BTS X MU:DS" collaboration merch. As soon as the merch was launched on Weverse Shop, several items from the collection sold out within minutes. The new merch line was created in collaboration with the National Museum of Korea and the National Museum Foundation of Korea.
The new merch collection depicted the reflection of white porcelain and celadon, which are emblematic relics of the National Museum of Korea. Historically cultural museum items like the "Lobed Vase with Chrysanthemum and Peony Celadon with inlaid design" and the "Bowl with Chrysanthemum Scroll Celadon with inlaid design" inspired the DALMAJUNG X BTS merch.
Items like the Moon Jar displayed BTS' logo on the front and the lyrics of their song, Mikrokosmos, at the back. The keyring was designed with BTS font details in the bronze key along with a tassel with cloud detailing in it.
Currently, the following items have gone out of stock:
- Jewelry Box
- Gourd Bottle & Cup Set
- Wind Bell
- Keyring
- Photo Card Binder
- Ring Set (gold)
- White Porcelain Moon Jar Miniature
BTS ARMY expressed their feelings on X as a majority of them couldn't purchase the items they desired as they quickly went out of stock. Some fans joked about the circumstances and compared it with getting tickets to BTS concerts. One fan on X wrote:
"Even the merch gets sold out in 2 mins. I'm never getting those BTS concert tickets"
Several fans pointed out how the items went out of stock within seconds even when they were almost at the payment portal.
"I'm not surprised. I'm just angry that I'm so broke it hurts. Let me cry in a corner," one fan wrote.
"Ring set gold sold out in just 1 minute!" another fan added.
"I was happy that I got it in my cart but upon paying poof it’s gone. I was almost there," one other fan said.
Others expressed relief at being able to purchase at least one item from the collection. While some fans praised the new merch for its elegant design.
"Both were in my basket and as I checked out sold out. I got the jewellery box though," a fan mentioned.
"I got the gourd drinking set and I'm soooo happy with that, but I wanted the ring and the mini moon, too," another fan commented.
"As a somewhat art lover myself i’d feel like an actual art collector owning any of these pieces. it looks so EXQUISITE. Dalmajung merch is always top tier! gosh, I NEED," one other fan wrote.
