"I'm planning to enlist in the military next year" — Actor Lee Jae-wook shares his enlistment plans during his recent appearance at Zico's Artist Show

On Friday, August 30, the K-Drama actor Lee Jae-wook appeared on KBS2's The Seasons: Zico's Artist Show, which is a South Korean talk show where the Korean rapper Zico interviews the figures of the entertainment industry. With Lee Jae-wook as his latest guest, the actor was asked several questions regarding his current projects, plans, and more.

One of the many things the actor revealed during the show was his plans to enlist in the military next year. All South Korean males, other than a few exceptions, over the age of 18 are required to serve in the South Korean Army for a minimum mandatory period of 18 months. Therefore, the actor will leave next year to fulfill the same.

He stated this and asked people to look forward to his upcoming projects that he has been working hard on in the remaining time he has left before enlisting.

Lee Jae-wook is a 26-year-old South Korean actor and model who made his debut in the industry in 2018 through the K-Drama Memories of the Alhambra and the South Korean film The Battle of Jangsari. Following the same, the actor has continued to star in several shows that garnered netizens' attention.

Some shows he's known for include The Alchemy of Souls, Extraordinary You, and The Impossible Heir, which was his latest release. The idol is expected to star in another K-Drama release that's scheduled for 2025 called Hong Rang.

The actor is currently housed under the South Korean Entertainment agency called C-JeS Entertainment, but his journey began through a contract with VAST Entertainment till March 2021. Lee Jae-wook's recent appearance at Zico's Artist Show has also been garnering a lot of attention. During the show, it was revealed that the actor and Zico met privately and became close.

He also stated that he chose to appear on the show, despite being nervous about variety programs, because he trusted Zico. Here's what he said;

"I just trust you, hyung."

The actor also stated that he thinks singers are great and also revealed a surprising fact about his singing career. He was not only in the hip-hop club of his high school but also self-wrote lyrics to songs like Gang and Killer. To showcase his vocal skills, he continued to roll out a performance with Zico, where they sang Primary and Dynamic Duo's Johnny.

Lee Jae-wook also took the solo stage where he sang the track, Let’s Say Goodbye, for which he was praised by Zico. Following the news of the K-Drama actor enlisting in the military, fans have already been reacting and talking about it on social media platforms like X and Instagram.


Several other artists also appeared on Zico's Artist Show. Some of them include OH MY GIRL, So Soo-bin, and Hwang Je-Sung.
