On September 21, 2024, SEVENTEEN's Jeonghan updated his official Instagram account with photos from a new endorsement project with Japan's premium haircare brand &honey. In the pictures, the idol was seen posing with bottles of &honey's Melty Moist Repair Shampoo and Deep Moist Hair Oil.
The K-pop phenomenon is set to join the Republic of Korea Army on September 26, 2024, and the endorsement came only five days before his departure. CARATs (SEVENTEEN fans) preparing to say a temporary goodbye to the idol were taken aback by these images, which elicited a wave of lighthearted reactions.
As soon as the pictures were shared, fans quickly expressed their admiration for the artist. Many could not help but humorously point out the timing of the post, leading to a mix of playful and heartfelt responses. While the promotional pictures spread like wildfire among fans on social media, one X user had a comical reaction,
"a shampoo and hair oil endorsement 5 days before his enlistment….. I’m sorry for laughing"
While many are still trying to cope with the idol's looming enlistment, the pictures proved a much-welcome surprise to CARATs. One fan hilariously stated that Jeonghan would soon have to shave off his hair for military service, but he would "still have a hair routine."
"wdym jeonghan loves his hair and man will still have a hair routine even if he will be bald anytime soon," a fan wrote.
"so his hair will grow faster maybe hes not gonna be totally bald tho," another netizen added.
"My bad I laughed too cuz already our fandom is crying then they gave us this," a comment said.
Fans also said the post was a "very Jeonghan move" before he parted from his fandom for the hiatus. Some others were in awe of how the 28-year-old was busily working even in the run-up to his enlistment.
"A very jeonghan move," an X user posted.
"Wow he is amazing. He is about to enlist and yet still got few jobs left.," a post read.
"It's like, "I'm enlisting so here's something to put on your hair" I love you, Jeonghan. I love you so much." added another CARAT.
