South Korean Bodybuilder Ma Sun-ho shared about witnessing a rise in followers after posting a picture with BTS’ Kim Taehyung (V). On October 14, Ma Sun-ho appeared on Kim Jong-kook's YouTube show titled GYM JONG KOOK, where he opened up about working out with the BTS vocalist and his friendship with him.
On September 25, 2024, Ma Sun-ho shared a mirror selfie while working out with Kim Taehyung and Dr. Romantic actor Kim Min-jae. During his GYM JUNG KOOK appearance, Ma Sun-ho spoke about how this post boosted his Instagram followers. When Kim Jong-kook asked Ma Sun-ho about their workout and his followers, He stated,
“Well, I post one photo & gained 40k followers.”

Ma Sun-ho revealed that he calls BTS’ V by his real name, Taehyung, and V, in return, refers to him as 'Hyung,' a term for older male friends and brothers in Korea. Kim Jong-kook jokingly said that he should use honorifics for celebrities. Ma Sun-ho agreed and said he would stick to honorifics. To this, Kim Jong-kook said,

Currently, both Kim Taehyung and Kim Min-jae are serving in the military to fulfill their national duties. They were on permitted leave and decided to work out together with Ma Sun-ho. He complimented them for working out even on their leaves from the military. He captioned the photo:

On October 10, South Korean media agency Dispatch confirmed that the Recording Industry Association of Japan updated the list of music releases certification, and Kim Taehyung’s Layover was listed for Platinum certification.
This RIAJ Platinum certification was given to Kim Taehyung as over 250,000 units of his first solo album shipped in Japan since its release. Besides this, on September 30, 2024, the Layover Vinyl version topped Oricon Daily Album rankings, selling 221K copies on the day of its release.
