O Tuesday, June 12, BTS' Jin was discharged from his mandatory military enlistment. The idol kept the promise that he made to ARMYs and went straight to the HYBE Labels' building to kickstart a Weverse livestream to update fans on his military experience. One of the many experiences he shared in the livestream was every award and medal he had won during his time in the military.

The idol stated that he was showing the awards with permission, and he proudly boasted the recognition he earned. He said that he earned around 7-8 awards in total. He was recognized for Company Commander level awards as Seargent Kim Seok-jin twice. Additionally, he was also awarded 7-8 Battalion Commander level awards.

"I’m going to brag a little bit but here are my awards from completing my service. I'm posting it with permission. ARMY, Soldier Award I got two division commander-level awards! I got 7 to 8 battalion commander-level awards too! I worked hard in the military!"

He continued:

"I received this award as Sergeant Kim Seokjin! What's interesting is that I have a friend in my military who has the same name as Sgt. Kim Seok-jin twice. It was fun!"

On June 12, the eldest member of the seven-piece K-pop boy group, BTS' Jin, was discharged from his mandatory military service. He successfully completed his 18 months of service as an active military drill instructor and was welcomed back from the military with all his other BTS members waiting for him at the entrance of his unit.

The idol, in order to keep the promise he made to his ARMYs at the time of his departure, kickstarted a Weverse livestream to spend some time with fans, still adorned in his military uniform. During the livestream, the idol talked about several things, briefing fans on how his military discharge ceremony transpired. The idol explained that he was quite famous in the military.

"My friends also made and wrote me this poster. Ah, I'm embarrassed to say this but I was really popular in the military so the posters were written with tons of words."

Therefore, his departure involved a lot of tears, and many of his teammates and military friends gifted him with flowers and posters, conveying their heartwarming messages to Jin.

He also said that the reason he looks swollen and not as good as he usually looks is because he cried not once but twice during his military discharge ceremony.

"I was saying and telling the other people who were on my team in the military to not cry, but when saying goodbye, I ended up shedding some tears. and I feel like I made a good atmosphere but yes, I cried twice so I'm a bit swollen. but yes, I'm back after a year and a half."

He, then, wrapped up his livestream by stating that he was excited about the upcoming 2024 BTS Festa event where he will be meeting and interacting with 1000 Lucky ARMYs.
