SEVENTEEN’s Hoshi and Woozi are reportedly gearing up for a duo/sub-unit debut, raising military enlistment concerns among fans. On December 25, Daily Sports reported that Hoshi and Woozi, who were born in 1996, are preparing for a sub-unit debut.
This is not the first time the two reportedly joined forces for a music release. They dropped their first song titled Bring It, which was a part of SEVENTEEN’s 2nd album, TEEN, AGE, in November 2017. They have received love and appreciation from fans due to their friendship and bond. They were given the title of ‘Ho-Woo Alert,’ which is derived from a Korean word play for Heavy Rain Alert.
While fans are excited about the reported official debut of this SEVENTEEN sub-unit, they are also concerned that Hoshi and Woozi will enlist in the military after this. Notably, the agency has not confirmed the military enlistment of Hoshi and Woozi. They took to social media to express their thoughts on the unit debut and military enlistment.
“I see subunit I think somebody's going to enlist,” a fan said.
“They gonna have sub units every pre enlistment or what ksjsndkwdk,” another fan said.
“Happy but not happy because the pattern with svt seems to be, release unit = going away soon,” a user stated.
Fans mentioned the many names used for the popular SEVENTEEN duo while expressing their enthusiasm for their reported sub-unit music debut. Given that Hoshi is the leader of the group's performance unit and Woozi is the leader of the vocal unit and the producer of the boy group's music, anticipations are at an all-time high.
“I LOVE YOU HOSHI WOOZI COMBO MY HOWOO MY SOONHOON JAGIYA NATION WE BLOODY WON,” a fan wrote.
“New unit? That's THE two captains. what do you know about the hoshi woozi combo?! welcome back!" a user said.
“That’s the powerhouse duo of the powerhouse group, SEVENTEEN. just so everyone and their mommas know,” a fan reacted.
Fans playfully joked about Hoshi being ‘overemployed,’ as he is also reportedly gearing up for BSS, another sub-unit of the K-pop group comeback in early 2025.
“Why is hoshi the face of employment i’d hate to be his cousin at family functions,” a fan reacted.
“Hoshi is so overemployed rn my man has eight jobs,” a user added.
“Hoshi fr is the mark lee of seventeen,” a fan stated.
