On Tuesday, October 29, 2024, a fresh episode of KStar Next Door was released with BTS' Jin as a guest for the new episode. In the latest episode, the host, MC Jonathan and Kim Seokjin discussed many topics related to BTS’ success, his close friendships, military experiences, and more. The host also touched upon his visit to j-hope’s military discharge.

While sharing about j-hope’s discharge, he stated that he skipped some of his planned work to give a warm welcome to his bandmate. He mentioned:

“Hobi said it's (okay) for me not to come but it's not easy for other members to get vacation days. So cosidering that, I thought no one could be there at Hobi's discharge. So, I skipped my planned (work) schedule to go there.”

j-hope was discharged from the military on October 17, 2024. He became the second band member to fulfill his military obligations after Jin, who received his military discharge on June 12, 2024.

At the beginning of the episode, the host talked about how much he longed for the BigHit Music group to come to his show.

When the host talked about how successful and well-known BTS is, Jin replied that it was true because he had performed all over the world. The host then started to list BTS' accomplishments, such as the fact that they hold many Guinness World Records and have six music videos with more than a billion views on YouTube.

Jin expressed surprise, saying that he didn't know how well the YouTube music videos were doing. The host then asked when the Epiphany singer realized he was famous after the boy band’s debut. Jin replied to this:

"I never really felt that before. We got to stand where we are today after doing our best every day. The thought of 'We made it' never occurred to me before."

When Jonathan asked BTS' Jin about his popularity in the military, the latter noted that he never rebuked his peers or junior soldiers throughout his mandatory military service.

“I never scolded them [junior soldiers]. Even though I've been in this field for over 10 years, there's so much I don't know. So I don't understand why people scold others just because they don't know something. If they don't know, just teach them again. And it's okay not to know because sometimes I forget too. That was my belief,” Jin said.

Besides, Jin also highlighted his close relationship with Korean celebrity chef Baek Jong-won, who was a jury member of Culinary Class Wars.

Towards the end of the episode, BTS' Jin performed his latest pre-release track of his upcoming HAPPY album, titled I’ll Be There.

In other news, BTS' Jin appeared as a guest on another chat show, Salon Drip 2. The preview teaser for the forthcoming episode was made public on October 22, 2024, and the entire episode will be released on TEO Universe's official YouTube account (@TEO_universe) on November 5, 2024.
