BTS' Jin discussed the overwhelming support he received at Milan Fashion Week in an interview for the YouTube show Salon Drip 2, posted on November 5, 2024. His appearances quickly went viral among fans worldwide, which left him feeling deeply grateful.

The newly appointed Gucci brand ambassador shared that attending high-profile events can be intimidating for him, especially when he doesn't know many people there. However, hearing his fans cheer for him gave him a boost of confidence, helping him step out of his shell and feel more secure.

“I think of my fans as my family, When they call out my name, it gives me courage to act shamelessly...That’s how I can act more boldly and get more energy," Jin added.

The I'll Be There singer described this support as a personal strength that helps him shine.


Jin discusses Milan Fashion Week, upcoming album Happy, and personal connections in Salon Drip2 interview

In episode 64 of Salon Drip2, featured on the channel TEO universe (TEO 테오), BTS’ Jin joined to promote his upcoming solo album, Happy. The 38-minute and 45-second video, titled ARMY! Our JIN is amazing! | EP.64 JIN | Salon Drip2, included several personal stories shared by him, including his experience at Milan Fashion Week.

During the interview, host Jang Doyeon mentioned Jin's viral video clips from the fashion show he attended on September 20, 2024. These clips captured fans loudly chanting Jin’s name.

The Astronaut singer expressed his gratitude to the fans who gathered to support him, explaining how their presence gave him courage. Describing his fans as family, he explained that their encouragement helped him feel confident at events where he didn't know many people.

"I saw! So many people came, which I was so thankful about... "Sometimes, when I have to attend events like that where I don't know other people, I get so lost! I'm super shy," he stated.

Jin went on to say that he feels a deep sense of gratitude for his fans and keeps their words close to his heart. He said:

"As someone who is very thankful for my fans, it’s my job to make them happy! I keep those words in my heart!"

In the interview, the artist covered a range of topics. When asked about the experience of creating an album and performing solo without the other BTS members, he reflected on his feelings during his first solo performance.

The five-time Grammy-nominated artist shared that initially, he felt scared but quickly became comfortable on stage. He noted that the process of making the album was similar; while it came with more responsibilities, he valued the creative freedom it offered.

Jin discussed his upcoming album, titled Happy, emphasizing his desire for it to bring joy to his fans. "It's an album full of happiness," he stated, underlining its uplifting theme. He shared one of his favorite lyrics, expressing a wish for his fans to experience profound happiness rather than fleeting moments.

The conversation also touched on his relationships with South Korean celebrity chefs, including Paik Jong Won and Lee Yeon-bok. He recounted meeting Paik during an episode of Run BTS! and connecting with Lee on the variety show Please Take Care of My Refrigerator.

The Awake singer mentioned bonding with Paik over games and cooking recipes. He also noted enjoying the Netflix show Culinary Class Wars and trying out various recipes featured on the show.

When host Jang Doyeon asked what had recently brought him the most happiness, Jin shared an amusing anecdote about catching the "Boss" in a computer game after three hours of trying. He noted that gaming serves as a valuable outlet for him, providing a break from his busy life as an artist.

Later in the video, the oldest BTS member shared how he stayed creative during his military service, driven by a deep longing to return to work and reconnect with fans. He explained that this motivation led him to create a long list of ideas while serving.

After his discharge, the idol began working on a special fan song and wrote the lyrics himself. It was his first time writing lyrics for a complete song, and he finished it in just a day or two.

The song, titled I Will Come To You, expressed his strong desire to reunite with fans.

"It's called "I Will Come To You." I packed the song with my longing. "I Will be there soon. I will soon leave this place to get to you, so please wait for me," he explained.

The singer-songwriter shared that about 30% of the song’s lyrics were drawn from ideas he developed during his time in the military. The interviewer noted the emotional value of the album for both Jin and his fans, to which the idol replied, "It is," highlighting the album’s significance as a personal message to his fanbase, ARMY.


On October 14, BTS's Jin announced the release of his solo debut album, Happy. The album is set to drop on November 15, 2024, at 2 PM KST. To kick off this new chapter, he released his first pre-release single, I'll Be There, on October 25, 2024.
