On July 23, 2024, Jimmy Fallon revealed that he met BTS' Jimin in a recording studio while he was recording a song. The Hollywood entertainer and show host shared the unseen footage on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. In the clip, Fallon can be seen happily jumping as he hears WHO, while Jimin, Jon Bellion, Tommy Brown, and Pdogg are seen smiling.

For the unversed, the MUSE singer-songwriter pre-filmed a live performance on his album's title track, WHO, especially for The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, which was released on July 23.

Although the BTS idol couldn't appear on the show to promote his new album. However, Jimmy Fallon praised the new album and recounted his experience of hearing Jimin's new song before its release. He said:

"I actually got a chance to hear it before it was released. It's a true story. I was in the recording studio, working on a secret project. And I see Jimin at the studio and go, 'Dude, what are you doing here?" and he was like, 'What are you doing? I am a recording artist.' But he was there with Jon Bellion."

Fallon further added:

"We actually have a footage here of me hearing the song for the first time. I heard this song months ago and I've been holding this secret in my soul."

BTS Jimin stuns the audience as he performs live on his latest album title track WHO

On July 23, 2024, BTS' Jimin performed WHO live on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. The video, released on the show's official YouTube channel, gained 690K views within six hours.

The Be Mine singer-songwriter performed in a desolate parking lot with six female dancers and six male dancers. Fans lauded the Grammy-nominated South Korean musician for his stable vocals despite delivering an immaculate dance number.

Meanwhile, WHO entered No. 1 on the iTunes Worldwide Song Chart across 112 countries, including the United States, Russia, France, and Spain, within 24 hours of its release. The song speaks about the singer's wish to find his true love as he croons, "Who is my heart waiting for?"

On July 21, 2024, the song peaked at #3 on the Spotify Global Daily Top Songs chart with 7.9 million streams. It became the highest debut on the music chart by a K-pop soloist.

BTS' Park Jimin has been serving in the South Korean military since December 12, 2023, to fulfill his mandatory enlistment. Before enlisting, he recorded and pre-filmed for his new solo album, MUSE, which was released via BIGHIT MUSIC on July 19, 2024.
