GFRIEND’s emotional reunion concert, marking their 10th debut anniversary, deeply moved fans. The members took to the stage for their final performance in Seoul on January 19, 2025. The event, part of the Season of Memories concert series, saw all six members overcome with emotion, shedding tears during heartfelt performances and farewells.

The concert series celebrated a decade of GFRIEND’s music and journey, which began with their debut in 2015. Held over three sold-out nights at the Olympic Hall in Seoul, the performances were carefully curated by the members to represent their evolution.

The emotional climax of the final concert occurred during their performances of the new songs Season of Memories and Always. Yerin’s tears while singing were described as poignant, and Eunha broke down during the encore despite holding back for most of the event.

Sowon embraced Eunha, providing a touching moment that resonated with the audience. Fans, both in attendance and online, expressed overwhelming support and shared their feelings about the bittersweet reunion. An X user, @kpopinspired1, wrote,

"i don’t wanna cry but seeing gfriend vids make me soooo emotional i want them to be together."

Fans turned to social media to share their reactions to the group’s reunion.

"take all gfriend's pain, double it and give it to all who are responsible for that fuckass contract termination," an X user wrote.
"IVE SEEN EVERY ANGLE OF GFRIEND’S GROUP HUG AND I JUST KEEP CRYING MORE AND MORE," a fan added.
"I love them sm seeing them so active on my social medias brings me back to the past with them. Ill never stop being a buddy," a fan mentioned.
"WHY WOULD THEY MADE ME UGLY CRYING LIKE THIS," a netizen remarked.

Some fans noted that the reunion was equally meaningful for the members, who had also longed to reunite, perform, and celebrate their bond.

"seeing all the clips of gfriend members crying made me realize that it's not just buddies who waited for four years, they waited for this moment too. they tried all ways possible just to come back for us and i love them so much for not giving up. we love u so much, gfriend," a fan commented.
"we knew how much 518 affected the girls, and seeing them shed tears for the concert's final day.. buddies waited for four years, and the girls also waited to finally be together and perform again on stage,' a netizen remarked.
"This is heartbreaking, until we meet again my dear yeochindeul, will be missing you guys like crazy," a person wrote.

More about the GFRIEND's 10th-anniversary concert

The concert setlist balanced the group’s hits, such as Me Gustas Tu, Navillera, and Rough, with tracks from their recently released anniversary album, Season of Memories. The album, released on January 13, 2025, served as a tribute to their legacy and fans, known as Buddy.

The group also took a moment to acknowledge the challenges following their sudden disbandment in 2021. Although members pursued separate careers—Eunha, SinB, and Umji forming the group VIVIZ—the reunion offered a sense of closure that many felt was absent after their contracts abruptly ended.

Throughout the concert, moments of lighthearted humor shone through, with members joking about the physical demands of their choreography and playfully interacting with the crowd.

GFRIEND’s leader, Sowon, closed the event by promising fans that this was not the end. She thanked supporters for their unwavering encouragement and hinted at future possibilities, urging everyone to meet again in another season.

As the group prepares to take their Season of Memories tour to cities across Asia, including Osaka, Yokohama, and Taipei, fans remain hopeful about what lies ahead for the group.
