On August 29, 2024, a post titled JTBC's Audition Information circulated on social media where it was revealed that Choi Woo-shik would be starring in the upcoming period drama A Hundred Memories. Previously, it was reported that the actress Kim Da-mi had been offered the leading role in A Hundred Memories on June 12, 2024. In the post, it was revealed that Kim Sang-ho would direct the series while it would be penned by screenwriter Yang Hee-seung.
